2015 2015 ALBANIA MACEDONIA KOSOVO SERBIA BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA CROATIA A Balkan Mosaic October 1-14, 2015

A Balkan Mosaic October 1-14, 2015 13 NIGHTS / 14 DAYS GROUP SIZE: 12-35 I thought the journey was the essence of this trip, it was uncharted territory for me and I was delighted with the friendliness of the people, the beautiful cities and the richness of history, culture. Fredericka White, Cutler Bay, FL Past traveler JOIN HARVARD ALUMNI FOR A 14-DAY SURVEY of the Balkan Peninsula, whose prime position has made it a meeting point and flash-point of ancient Rome and Byzantium, Christianity and Islam. Explore a mosaic of competing cultures, ethnicities, languages and ideologies in six Balkan countries. Begin in Albania, with its modern sense of enterprise and enthusiasm and continue through beautiful Macedonia, inhabited since the Neolithic Age. Visit Kosovo, Europe s youngest country, and its former antagonist, Serbia, with its elegant capital, Belgrade. Continue to reconstructed Sarajevo, surrounded by the lush Dinaric Alps, and then revel in redroofed Dubrovnik jutting into the Adriatic Sea, surrounded by medieval walls.
