VARNA CHAMBER OF TOURISM (VCT) " Together we can accomplish what we cannot do separately! a regional tourism organization, established in 1991. a successor of territorial Association for Tourism and Recreation. Today VCT boasts over 140 member - organizations from the regions of Varna, Dobrich, Shumen, Plovdiv and Sofia - hotel and restaurant management companies and proprietors, travel agencies, non-governmental organizations, educational establishments, advertisers, insurers, individual members. VCT is a member of the National Council of Tourism and the Bulgarian Tourist Chamber (BTC). Governing Bodies of the Chamber: the General Assembly, Management Board, Supervisory Board, the President, Vice President, Chief Secretary.

To contribute to the training and qualification of personnel in tourism. To assist the government and non-governmental organizations in the preparation of regulations for the sector of Tourism. Annual Black Sea Tourist Forum - started by VCT in 2008, dedicated to special interest tourism, attended by representatives from all countries from the Black Sea Euroregion. 2. Participation in international tourist exhibitions, organized by VCT. 3. Monthly organized debates Sustainable Tourism by College of Tourism in Varna with support of VCT and bulletins, published with theses and proposals arisen in discussions. 4. Culinary Festival organized by Varna Municipality together with VCT 5. "Culture and Tourism" magazine - published by VCT for 2 years. 6. VCT manages: Varna Tourism Company Ltd.(a travel agency of VTC own), Tourism Expert Consult Co. (a branch company specializing in consultancy and scientific development work) - Municipal Tourist Information Centre since 21.07.2008 up to 2010

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (CCI) DOBRICH CCI - Dobrich is a host of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) "No wrong door, no closed door" The launch of EEN announced in the 4th National Innovation Forum "Science Innovation and Regional Development - Policy of Bulgaria in the EU", held in Sofia, 2008. In Bulgaria, EEN combines the activity of 8 Euro Info Centres (www.eic.bcci.bg) and former Innovation Relay Centre - Bulgaria (www.irc.bg).

BULGARIAN CHAMBER OF SHIPPING (BCS) Established in 1993 with headquarters in the city of Varna. A voluntary association to support, promote, represent and protect the interests of its members and promote the development of national and international economic cooperation and integrity in the spirit of the Bulgarian maritime business. Members of BCS can be corporate bodies, individuals, federations and associations engaged in shipping business. Management body BCS consists of: -General Assembly (GA) adopts and amends statutes, approves guidelines of development of the BCS, determines the amount of dues to elect members of the MB and CC, elects Chairman. BULGARIAN CHAMBER OF SHIPPING (BCS) BCS organizes annual National Forum "Maritime and Inland waterway industry - one of the main national economic priorities of Bulgaria". The initiators of the first Forum in 2010 were Bulgarian Association of Marine captains, the "Sea stories" Foundation and the Club of Marine engineers. The initiative was supported by the Bulgarian Chamber of Shipping, Maritime Association Bourgas, Bulgarian Danube Chamber and Varna Municipality. In 2012 the National Forum was held on 1-2 November in Bourgas and it was devoted to the European initiative Excellent clusters and particularly to the development of Marine Cluster Bulgaria.

BULGARIAN CHAMBER OF SHIPPING (BCS) BCS organizes round table discussions titled: - "Future development of the port of Varna prospects for building a new container terminal ", on 21.12.2010, in Varna. - "Extrajudicial means of resolving sea and river legal disputes and the need to create a specialized arbitration" - on 25.06.2011, in Varna with the participation of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar and the Institute of Maritime Law and Logistics (IMLL)

BULGARIAN CHAMBER OF SHIPPING (BCS) The Management Board of BCS awards the annual prize "Saint Nicholas" - for personal contribution to the development of the Bulgarian Maritime Economy. In the category "Marine Science and Education", Dr. Ilko Shtirkov, the Commander of the Research Submarine, Institute of Oceanology, BAS was the winner of the prize in 2010. BCS participates in the National Conferences devoted to Bulgarian Education and Training of maritime specialists

BOURGAS REGIONAL TOURIST ASSOCIATION (BRTA) Established in 1998 as an association in the public interest and incorporates established in Bourgas district tourism associations, regional business organizations and municipalities. BRTA is a member of the National Council of Tourism in Bulgaria - the state public consultation and coordination body of the State Agency for Tourism (SAT). BRTA is a member of the Committee on Employment in Bourgas district. BRTA provide information to municipalities, regional administrations, tourism councils and regional organizations in tourism industry in the South-East for current events at national and regional level.

BLACK SEA - DANUBE ASSOCIATION OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (BDCA) BDCA is an independent non-profit research organisation - a grouping of universities, consultancy, other organisations and individuals. ACTIVITIES of BDCA are in the following areas: Coastal and river engineering ; Protection of coasts against flooding and erosion; Environmental protection; Regional Development; Waterways, ports and harbours ; Water transport ; Training / Education; www.bdcabg.org Organization of conferences, seminars, workshops; Publishing.

BLACK SEA - DANUBE ASSOCIATION OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (BDCA) EnviCOP (Environmentally Friendly Coastal Protection in a Changing Climate,2012 2015) funded by FP7-PEOPLE- 2011- "International Research Staff Exchange Scheme" (IRSES). Partners within EnviCOP project are from 3 universities in Italy, Portugal, USA, Brazil and BDCA, Bulgaria. The project will provide improved numerical and physical model tools, resulting in introducing new and improved environmentally friendly coastal protection structures. EnviCOP will finally serve decision makers in strengthening emergency planning arrangements and managing the investment of significant levels of public funding. www.envicop.eu

BLACK SEA - DANUBE ASSOCIATION OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (BDCA) Last international projects with participation of BDCA: Sim.COAST (FP7-PEOPLE-2009-IRSES, Project # 210085, 2010-2013). BDCA is one of the 3 EU partners together with two leading Chinese organizations. The project is expected to provide improved process understanding, new knowledge, methods, new and improved numerical tools, resulting in introducing new and improved coastal protection structures. www.simcoast.eu

BLACK SEA - DANUBE ASSOCIATION OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (BDCA) The 5 th edition of the International Series of Conferences on the Application of Physical Modelling to Port and Coastal Protection will be held on 28.09-01.10.2014 in Varna, hosted by BDCA. The Conference will focus on Port and Coastal Protection in Climate Change. Some of the main topics: Coastal Hydrodynamics, Sediment transport Coastal erosion, Sea Level Rise Dike Overtopping, Wave Structure Interactions, Coastal Threats in Europe, Ocean Energy Wave/Tidal energy converters.
