After soaking in these delicious waters we can have a snack at a small cafeteria while admiring the spectacular scenery that surrounds us. (1/2 day) B Day 3 - Half Day Volcanic Caves, private Breakfast, then we will experience an incredible adventure when visiting the volcanic caves of the Villarrica Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in South America. These caverns originated millions of years ago after a colossal eruption. Once inside the caves we will walk a medium difficulty path while observing the geological formations and compositions of its walls and ceilings. Outside the caves, we will be able to see a deep canyon that was formed by an avalanche of lahar (a mix of pyroclastic material and snow) that took place many years ago. We will also have the chance to walk on a hanging bridge from where we will clearly distinguish the different layers on the ground created by the many eruptions of the volcano. After this exciting experience, we will call it a day. Day 4 Transfer to Temuco airport after breakfast Or can do this full day hike instead of one of the ½ day tours: Full Day Huerquehue National Park, private Today s excursion will lead us into the Huerquehue National Park, located only 35 km from Pucón. Founded in 1967, this is one of the oldest protected areas of Chile and covers around 12,500 hectares. Nowadays hikers can enjoy scenic landscapes, millennial forests, lakes, lagoons and various waterfalls. This excursion will take us along the main path of the park, the Los Lagos Trail, where we can spot a wide diversity of fauna and flora.
