Introduction WHATS NEW! From January 06 Euronet will be connected directly to the Trenitalia (Italy) inventory Some of the new features are Access to complete Trenitalia inventories Print @ Home ticketing option, including Thello night train New fare structure offering discounted fares Ability to book all four classes on Frecciarossia services, Executive and Premium class now offered Ability to book quiet coaches Two connections in Euronet The direct connection to Trenitalia inventory comes in addition to the existing one, through the International Reservation System, therefore you can chose between booking: Trenitalia tickets the existing way as a paper ticket and extended ticketing time limit of up to 6 days Or The Trenitalia direct connection, with discounted fares, PAH ticket options and a shorter ticketing time limit p

Search criteria Search by Price Open Ticket only: These are not available through the Trenitalia direct connection and can booked as normal and issued as paper tickets About passengers: Infants: 0 years In the event user input PAX in infant range, they will be considered as CHILD, if you don t want a seat for the infant please leave it empty. Child Ages High Speed: - Child Ages Regional and Thello: - Senior and Youth: There are no youth or seniors fares, both will be regarded as adults Product Type: only Retail will bring back results. Class of Service: st Class & nd Class available. Frecciarossa: All four classes will be available, however only st and nd class is in place in that menu. Standard & Premium is Considered as nd class, Business and Executive as st. Individual Fares Only: will retrieve Trenitalia direct connection individual fares and regular Individual fares. Group Fare Only: will retrieve regular Group Fares, there are no group fares available through the Trenitalia Direct Connection Ind and Group Fare: will show regular fares Groups and regular and Trenitalia direct connection fares for individuals. p
Search criteria SBP Understanding the Display NTV: Nothing changes for NTV, if you want to book NTV simply select the train and continue with your booking as normal Two Letter Train (FR/FB/FA/EC/IC): This will be a Trenitalia direct connection train, and will follow the Trenitalia direct connection rules, you will have access to discounted fares, PAH tickets and a different ticketing time limit Three Letter Train (FRO/FBA/FAR/ICP): This is a hermes ticket, full fare only, paper ticket only. There is not one on the schedules here and they are quite rare however they do appear Two Letter Train (TI) Three Letter Train (RR) When you see the prefix (TI) or (RR), you have the choice to chose between the (TI) connection or the (RR) hermes connection IN ALL CASES MAKE SURE YOU ARE AWARE OF THE PRODUCTS CONDITIONS. THEY CAN BE VIEWED BY CLICKING ON THE FARE p
Search by Schedule 6 Inventory : Select ERP for any Italian domestic routes Origin/Destination city: search is available by city name, you can be station specific for key stations, but not some of the smaller ones Product Type: only Retail will bring back results. ***NOTE*** o The Trenitalia Direct Connection returns only direct trains. o If you book a round trip, you can t combine different inventories for the legs. We recommend you book two one ways. 6 Station names : only main stations are available in Trenitalia Direct Connection. If trains stops at secondary station, you may have results but only from Resarail You can select up to solutions. Otherwise, Click on View Fares Note : If you select a NTV train, only View package is available. Earlier/Later Train Feature will be available, retrieving both NTV and TI solutions. p
How to book Trenitalia tickets in Euronet? Search by Price For a same train, you can choose : -Either Trenitalia Direct Connection fares (TI ) -Or Regular fares (RR) Always check condition by clicking on the Fare Detail popup. Availability for each fare level is also displayed in real time. Filter : only Individual/Retail will bring back Trenitalia Direct Connection fares.
Trenitalia Direct Connection Particularities No mixed display for return journeys There is no mixed display, only regular paper ticket fares will display If you would like a Trenitalia Direct Connection fare you will need to split the booking up and book each sector separately eg. Zurich to Rome, Via Milan.will need to be booked as Zurich to Milan and Milan to Rome) Only direct trains The TI DC only returns direct trains, if booking more than one train (a connection) the booking must be split. Regional Trains Regional trains are not available through the Trenitalia direct connection and can only be booked through by clicking on open ticket only and can only be issued as a paper ticket Night Trains Night trains will not be part of the initial launch, except for the Thello. When booking a T you can only book this for three people, you cannot book one or two people in a T. p 7
Trenitalia Direct Connection Ticketing Time Limit The Trenitalia direct connection follows a certain set of conditions in relation to the ticketing time limit. The Trenitalia direct connection only allows a certain number of bookings to be placed on hold. If the number of bookings is not exceeded Euronet will allow you access to pre-confirmation and a 8hr ticketing time limit. If the number of bookings allowed for pre-confirmation is exceeded then you will receive an error (see below) and the product will not confirm until you print the booking, therefore making it an instant purchase product. Your order could not be confirmed. Pre-confirmation is not mandatory for the ticketing of TI direct products: you can continue and print your products without the pre-confirmation We expect that almost all the time you will have access to the 8 hour ticketing time limit, however you need to be aware of what to do if in case we use up all the places are full. The ticketing time limit is usually 8 hours from confirmation of the seats However please note in some cases, you may be advised that you need to print the ticket straight away, this means that there are all the places are full, if this case you have three options: You can issue the ticket as an instant purchase product, the product will confirm once printed Issue any Trenitalia Direct Connection tickets you have on hold Wait and try again later Tips on how to allow more bookings to have the 8 hour ticketing time limit Only issue Eco and Super Eco tickets with the Trenitalia Direct Connection Book full fares as paper tickets Issue your Trenitalia Direct Connection tickets as soon as possible, this will allow for more bookings to be held in the system, the less bookings that we have hold means more available. p 8
Trenitalia Direct Connection After Sales After Sales Rules are very similar to other Print @ Home tickets For After sales, if the fare permits you can simply process the refunds yourself in Euronet: Prior to the train s departure date, if the fare permits refunds can be done as normal in Euronet All tickets are Print @ Home, no tickets need to be sent back to Paris No stamped unused required, if tickets are cancelled locally we will be able to see that this was done and refund the traveler Penalties are calculated on the total value on the ticket. If travelers are grouped on one ticket and one traveler needs to cancel, then the penalty will apply to the value of the total ticket, not just the one passenger. If travelers are grouped together on the one ticket, the most restrictive penalty will apply for all passengers Tickets valued at 0 euros of less are non refundable All Eco and Super Eco fares are non refundable There is no grace period for Trenitalia direct connection bookings, please make sure you check that all the details are correct prior to issuing the tickets. Once the ticket has been issued, changes if permitted can only be made locally p 9
