The final goal is for your project to pop a balloon (the balloon you will pop will be provided at project time and will be taped to a location in the center of the floor). You will receive materials at check-in (see details on pages 10-11 for rules, grading rubric, and other suggested tools to bring). Campground Details: A. Campsites and Parking 1. Your pack will share one campsite (you may be grouped with other packs based on the size of your unit). 2. You will set up your own tent and camp with your child. You need to provide all of your own equipment. 3. Each pack will have one campfire to share. Whichever ADULT starts the fire owns the fire and is responsible for putting it out. Scouts are not to play in the fire (regardless of rank) and what goes in the fire stays in the fire! 4. There are wooden platforms (8 x 8 ) for tents if you wish to use them. If you have a larger tent, you can always set it up on the ground there will be plenty of space. 5. You will drive to your campsite, unload your stuff, and then go park your car in the designated parking area. You may not leave your vehicle in camp it must be parked in the designated parking area at the bottom of the hill by 10 pm Friday night. Do not plan to store everything in your car, but know that you do not have to carry stuff too far either! It is a quick walk to your cars parking location, but a tough walk back because that is the uphill part! 6. Please remember that once you pass the Ranger's house the road into Camp Orr is one way. There will be signs posted pointing the way to check-in. B. Showers and water 1. There are flushable toilets and showers relatively close to each pack campsite, but not necessarily in each campsite. 2. There are Pit style toilets (outhouses) by every campsite. 3. Please help make sure your campsite is cleaner than when you arrived! The trash dumpster is behind the Dining Hall. We will also ask for help in cleaning up around the shower areas.
