Come to know its fun-loving Acadian and Gaelic culture. Day 2: Thursday, September 6, 2018 Halifax - Peggy s Cove - Halifax Stunning landscapes await! Meet your fellow guests over breakfast with your Tour Manager. Then, it s off to see one of the most picturesque spots in all of Canada beautiful Peggy s Cove. Its historic lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic Ocean provides one of the most memorable views you will ever see. Later, explore Halifax s charming downtown on a tour highlighting the waterfront, Public Gardens, Spring Garden Road, and the famous Citadel. This evening, enjoy dinner along the waterfront. (B, D) Day 3: Friday, September 7, 2018 Halifax - Cape Breton Island - Baddeck Head to picturesque Cape Breton. Stop to discover the Millbrook Cultural & Heritage Centre to learn about the Mi kmaq heritage and Glooscap legends see artifacts including intricate quill and

beadwork, and learn some words from the Mi kmaq language. Travel the Canso Causeway on the way to stunning Cape Breton Island. Set out on a scenic drive by the pristine shores of Bras d'or Lakes, Canada s only inland sea. Next, stop at the Gaelic College. Watch North America s first Gaelic language short film: Faire Chaluim MhicLeoid - the Wake of Calum MacLeod. Afterward, learn how the Great Kilt was made during a brief kilt-making demonstration. Learn a few handy Gaelic phrases and join in the fun of a milling frolic practice a Gaelic song while sitting around a table and beating a large loop of woolen cloth in rhythm. (B) Day 4: Saturday, September 8, 2018 Cabot Trail Set off to explore the Cabot Trail. You will fall in love with its rugged terrain and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Visit the famed St. Peter s Church in Cheticamp. Enjoy a picnic lunch in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Even more beauty awaits as we pause at fishing communities along the coast, including lovely Neil s Harbour. After dinner this evening we ve arranged an old-fashioned bonfire (weather permitting). (B, L, D) Day 5: Sunday, September 9, 2018 Baddeck - Prince Edward Island Explore the amazing range of inventions on display at the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. Afterward, take a short ferry ride to Prince Edward Island, the Land Cradled on the Waves. Enjoy dinner along the waterfront. (B, D) Day 6: Monday, September 10, 2018 Prince Edward Island Come to know the rolling landscapes of Prince Edward Island, the backdrop of the acclaimed novel, Anne of Green Gables. Arrive in delightful Cavendish and view Prince Edward Island National Park s picturesque beaches. Visit the Anne of Green Gables Museum where you will meet a farmer who teaches you the art of potato farming, the island s leading industry. Then, the choice is yours! Will you choose to learn about and indulge in award-winning cheeses or is some handmade ice cream made the old fashion way on the menu? Next we return to Charlottetown with time

to explore this fascinating city. Discover seaside Charlottetown with a tour along its narrow streets lined with quaint homes and hidden treasures. (B) Day 7: Tuesday, September 11, 2018 Prince Edward Island - Saint John, New Brunswick Leave Prince Edward Island behind as you cross the stately Confederation Bridge. Travel along the sea-sprayed shoreline to the amazing Hopewell Rocks.* A New Brunswick icon, these flowerpotshaped rocks carved by the Fundy tides seem to rise four stories high at low tide only to disappear into tiny islands when the tide is high. Savor a traditional Maritimes lobster feast as you look upon Daniels Flats. An expert teaches you how to crack and eat lobster like a local. Continue your journey through New Brunswick to the city of Saint John where you ll enjoy a 2-night stay in the bustling waterfront area. (B, L) Day 8: Wednesday, September 12, 2018 Saint John Explore the aweinspiring Fundy Trail, marveling at the spectacular views of the famous tides. Make stops along the way that not only reveal breathtaking views but also the chance to savor authentic Maritimes dulse (seaweed), fiddleheads, and traditional fiddle music. Gaze out your window at St. Martin s famous covered bridges on your way to Saint John. Later, get a taste of local life at the celebrated Saint John City Market.** The evening is at leisure in the city of Saint John. (B) Day 9: Thursday, September 13, 2018 Saint John - Western Shore, Nova Scotia This morning, board a ferry bound for Digby, Nova Scotia. Waterfront accommodations await in charming Western Shore. Upon arrival you may wish to stroll along the beach with views of Oak Island, home of a pirate s treasure still waiting to be found. (B)

Day 10: Friday, September 14, 2018 Western Shore - Lunenburg - Halifax Experience the small fishing village of Mahone Bay before stopping at Amos Pewter to learn about the intricate artistry that goes into each of their creations. Next, travel along the beautiful Lighthouse Route towards Lunenburg. Explore this fishing village on a walking tour and discover how early settlers turned to the sea for survival. Then it s on to the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. Learn how to prepare and launch a schooner before boarding a fishing boat for an up-close experience. Aboard, a fisherman will teach you all about scallops and how to shuck them! Complete your day along the waterfront at a spectacular farewell dinner with your fellow travelers and toast the end of a marvelous trip. Order of sightseeing is subject to change. *During your visit to Hopewell Rocks, the walk on the ocean floor may not be available based on the timing of the tides. **Saint John s Market may not be available it is open Monday through Saturday.
