ITINERARY DAY 1: HANOI Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel. A free afternoon to stroll around the picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake that centres this unusual city. This evening take to the streets on a vespa tour taking in some key sights of Hanoi including the Opera house. Finish the tour in the Cow boy bar and enjoy listening to the locals sing or have a go yourself. DAY 2: HANOI This morning join a local chef on a street food tour of the Vietnamese capital. You'll spend time sampling bowls of steaming noodles and exploring the food markets. Your culinary tour will end at one of the city's most atmospheric restaurants, designed to look just like a food market. This afternoon enjoy a guided tour of the city takes in the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Presidential Palace, as well as the Temple of Literature and Hanoi's Fine Arts Museum. (B,L) DAY 3: HANOI - HALONG BAY Today head east to Halong Bay, without doubt one of the most breathtakingly beautiful landscapes anywhere in Southeast Asia. Board the your boat and spend the day kayaking through the caves and visiting villages and beautiful beaches. (B,L,D) DAY 4: HALONG BAY HANOI - HUE Start the day with a Tai Chi class on the upper deck of the boat, before a morning's cruise around the bay to Ti Top Island. Arriving back at the jetty this morning, you drive back to Hanoi for the evening flight to Hue. (B) DAY 5: HUE Full day guided tour of this peaceful city - including the magnificent Imperial Citadel and Royal Relics Museum, as well as a visit out of town to one of the exquisitely designed Royal Garden Tombs, including the Tomb of TuDuc.(B)
DAY 6: HUE - HOI AN Begin riding off the beaten track along a picturesque road from Thuan An beach to Vinh Loc. Enjoy a journey across the Perfume River and get ready to cycle through some stunning scenery. The going is slightly tough as the climb two hills before cruising down to the stunning Lang Co Beach for a rest/ swim and lunch before transferring over the beautiful Pass of Ocean Clouds and continuing all the way to Hoi An, a delightful old trading town and UNESCO World Heritage Site. (B,L) DAY 7: HOI AN Day 7: Hoi An The day is left for you to discover this lovely market town at your own pace. Alternatively relax on Hoi An golden beaches and swim in the South China Sea. (B DAY 8: HOI AN DALAT After breakfast transfer to the airport for an onward flight to Dalat, a highland haven dotted with French colonial mansions, lakes, waterfalls, pine forests and gardens. Enjor a scenic cable car ride over pine forest and vegetable valley to Thien Vien Truc Lam Monastery. (B,L) DAY 9: DALAT- NINH VAN BAY A unique opportunity to travel between Dalat and Nha Trang by bike and raft. The journey starts in the highlands of Bidoup Nui Ba national park. Bike downhill through beautiful scenery. Cycle through hills, pine forests and farms to the Cai River. Trade in your bike for inflatable two person kayaks. The gently flowing waters of the mountain tributaries take you downriver where you will go ashore at a small farm for a barbeque lunch. Encounter a few sets of small rapids as you pass through more beautiful scenery. Upon arriing at the take-out point you will be taken to your luxury beach resort. (B) DAY 12: NINH VAN BAY - HO CHI MINH CITY On arrival you will be met by your guide and visit the Cu Chi tunnels - an incredible underground tunnel network where over 10,000 Viet Cong troops lived and fought during the Vietnam War. Before heading into the city.(b) DAY 13: HO CHI MINH CITY - MEKONG DELTA - HO CHI MINH CITY The fertile landscapes of the Mekong Delta provide one of the country's quintessential experiences. Driving south out of the city we head first for the town of My Tho, where we join our Mango Cruise along the waters of the An Hoa River. Visiting coconut factories and fruit farms, you'll then transfer to a small sampan to explore the small channels that radiate through the Delta. A bike ride to My Long then provides a chance to pay a visit to Mr Sau Tuong, a former Viet Cong soldier who spent two years fighting the Khmer Rouge. Cruising on to Ben Tre you'll then return to Saigon by car. (B,L) DAY 14: HO CHI MINH CITY Transfer to the airport to begin your journey home. (B)
