OCTOBER 2016 NEWSLETTER UPCOMING EVENTS Applied Mindfulness Meditation Only the following Monday s in October the 3rd, 17th, 24th and 31st 7:00pm-8:30pm And one Sunday, October 9th from 10:00am-11:30am The Ponds Social Committee Meeting Wednesday, October 5th 7:00pm-8:00pm FROM THE MANAGER S DESK Dear Ponds Homeowners, The big news this month is that we will have a 2 nd choice for hardwired TV, phone, and Internet services here at The Ponds. You ve likely seen the HomeTelco trucks in the neighborhood, the marker flags, and the paint on the ground marking utility lines. HomeTelco is beginning a project of installing fiber-optic lines throughout the community. They will be using the best machines available to route lines underground without the need to trench. They will do some digging, but the majority of their work will be unobtrusive. They ask that you flag your irrigation heads in the areas where they run lines, and use a white landscape marker paint to show where your irrigation lines are located. An advantage of HomeTelco is that they deliver service through fiber to the house, not just to the curb. Introductory packages to Ponds homeowners will include upgrades to the wiring within your homes so you can enjoy all of the advantages fiber-to-the-home offers. You will receive additional information on the company s services and fees as they reach down to your streets from Hundred Oaks Parkway. To keep updated on their progress, as well as to complete a form for more information, you may also go to VelocitybyHome.com/ Ponds. The site will be updated regularly as they move through the community. Some of you have noticed the new recycle containers in the Pavilion and Farmhouse. The Ponds Conservancy made these gracious contributions as part of their ongoing efforts to practice environmental stewardship. Please use them and sort the individual pieces as marked on the containers. They are for recyclable glass, plastic, and paper only. Please continue to use the existing trash cans for all other materials.
