What is Nordic Creative EXPO Initiative 2010? Formed by the Nordic representations and the Nordic Institute at Fudan University in April 2009. An alternative exhibition space for companies and organisations during the EXPO 2010 period in Shanghai EXPO 2010 is expected to be visited by 70 mil. people. but the possibilities for promoting small and medium sized companies and creative industries is limited. Creative EXPO offers an exhibition space which is cheap, large and with access for companies of all size Promotion of Nordic culture and living

Creating long term interdependens and relations Long term platform for promoting Scandinavian history, music, lifestyle, fashion and design, sports, films, food, architecture etc. Testing the Chinese market for Scandinavian products Reaching the Chinese customers Long term platform for establishing relations with potential Chinese business partners and getting foothold on the Chinese market. Venue - Huangpu Dock
Venue A Unique officially approved World EXPO 2010 site has been offered as the venue for Creative EXPO 2010. Located along the Huangpu River, at the intersection between the Yangpu and Hongkou District, the Huangpu Dock is one of the key construction areas included in the comprehensive improvement along the Huangpu river. Huangpu Dock is planned to be a unique comprehensive relaxation plaza and a leading landmark in Shanghai. It aims to create a better city with integration of art, people and entertainment, creating a cultural industry alongside the river. It aims to attract tourists both domestic and from abroad to visit the site during the World EXPO 2010.
Venue Huangpu Dock is one of the special improvement projects by the Yangpu district for welcoming the World EXPO 2010. Located north of the bund and offering a magnificent view over the Pudong skyline. The project will be finished before 2010. During the EXPO period, Huangpu Dock will function as a transportation site to the World EXPO 2010 area. Busses will transport people to the Huangpu dock and round trip boats between the Huangpu Dock and the World EXPO 2010 area will transport between 3000-5000 persons per hour. The project is supposed to lay the ground for the future development of the Yangpu district and the Huangu river area.

They will remain as concrete structures to be decorated by users of the buildings.
