The economy is predicted to be strengthened by an increase in consumption and investment. This strengthening is likely to increase consumer confidence which could boost outbound tourism numbers. 6

In 2013, the gap between 1-3 night trips and 4-7 night trips closed but since then the gap has widened again with 1-3 night trips reducing in popularity. Between 2015 and 2016 1-3 night trips showed the largest decrease in terms of volume. 8
