Now how long is it going to take for the cool air to arrive? Hopefully not long. Soon, the rides should be a bit more comfortable and we can start planning longer trips. If anyone has a favorite ride give the ride coordinator a call and he might be able to plan it. We're also looking forward to the return of our northern families (our snowbirds are coming back to roost). Believe it or not we really do miss you guys. We had a busy month, and had great turn out on the 10 th for the Friday Street Fest/Recruitment. We also had a great turnout for the ride to Black Water Inn in Astor. The Chapter made the usual takeover at Jason s Deli during one of our Tuesday night kick-tires. A few Chapter members went to the Region A Rally in Alabama. I am sure they had a great time. We had family problems so Mike and I couldn t attend the Parking Lot Practice on Sept 26. Thought the kick-tire on the 28 th was going to be a washout but those of us that made it had a nice dinner. BUT WE ALL STAYED REFRESHED BY HAVING PLENTY OF WATER ON THE BIKE AND IN THE COOLER, AND STOPPING WHEN NECESSARY. WE WERE ON THE ROAD EARLY WHICH WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT RIDING RHYTHMS THERE SHOULD BE SOME GIVE AND TAKE SORT OF MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHERE EVERYONE CAN GET ALONG. WE DID AND IT WAS SMOOTH SAILING. THE LAST TWO HOURS WERE HOT AND UNCOMFORTABLE. WHEN WE ARRIVED AND GOT IN THE AIR CONDITIONING. WE ENJOYED SEEING ALL OUR FRIENDS AND THE ROOMS WERE AWESOME, VERY LARGE WITH A VE- RANDA OVERLOOKING THE LAKE S BEAUTIFUL SUNSET S. HARRY ANDERSON. THE COURSE TAUGHT A SLOW RIDE, SWEEPING TURNS AND TIGHT TURNS, ALSO THE TOP GUN IRON CROSS, AND A 24 FT CIRCLE. SO DON T MISS THE NEXT ONE IT S A GREAT CHANCE TO PRACTICE YOUR RIDING SKILL S. IF YOU WERE NOT ABLE TO MAKE THIS ONE YOU MISSED DOUGHNUTS, ICE WATER, AND A GOOD RIDING COURSE SET UP BY CHARLIE DAVIES, MO DALTON, AND MYSELF.
