Please note that any papers received after 12 August 2005 will be issued as information papers. Kindly check the IAVWOPSG website periodically for future updates. I would like to inform you that, thanks to the kind courtesy of Ms. Nohora Arias, RO/MET, Lima, we were informed that arrangements can be made for those participants of the meeting who may wish to visit Machu Pichu, Cusco, These arrangements can be made though a travel agency affiliated with the ICAO SAM Office. Travel information is provided in the attachment to this memorandum. With regard to the transportation from the Lima International Airport to your hotel, please note that the ICAO SAM Office can arrange transportation from the airport to your hotel at a cost of USD$15 using their office driver. The driver would need to receive your name(s), arrival date and time

04 DAYS/ 03 NIGHTS IAVW - OPSG DAY 01 26 SEPTEMBER LIMA/CUSCO Pick up and transfer to the airport. Departure to Cusco by plane Arrival at Velasco Astete airport, meeting assistance and transfer to the hotel P.M. City tour: the Main Square, the Cathedral, its extremely sober renaissance faccade contrasts with the baroque and plateresque style of its interior, and Koricancha, a famous temple dedicated to the sun. Then, visit to the nearby ruins: Kenko, ancient ceremonial center dedicated to the earth; Tambomachay, important place of worship dedicated to water and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, cyclopean fortress built to defend Cusco. Return to hotel. Accommodation. DAY 02 27 SEPTEMBER CUSCO/SACRED VALLEY/CUSCO Buffet breakfast at hotel. Full day tour to the Urubamba Sacred Valley visiting: the village of Pisac, a picturesque town of creole and colonial aspect and its Indian market and craft fair. Lunch at Posada del Inca Restaurant. P.M. Visit to the fortress of Ollantaytambo, an architectural group that in the days of the Tahuantinsuyo empire was a gigantic agricultural, administrative, social, religious and military complex. Return to Hotel. Accommodation. DAY 03 28 SEPTEMBER CUSCO/MACHU PICCHU/CUSCO Buffet breakfast at hotel. A.M. Transfer from hotel to train station en-route to Aguas Calientes. Arrival and transfer with a guide to "The Lost City of the Incas", which lies within spectacular mountain ranges enriched by the exuberant vegetation of the nearby jungle and its rugged landscape. A visit through the citadel allows us to see its ruins which lie on the eastern slope of Machu Picchu in two separate areas: agricultural and urban in perfect harmony with its surrounding nature.
