Introducing Our Bus Service We aim to provide a reliable, quality bus service to Bilborough College. Students travel from a wide area across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, making the college accessible to students from a very large catchment area. Bilborough College is delighted to offer these services in partnership with Skills Motor Coaches. Skills have provided bus services for the college for the past five years and have a history of 90 years experience in passenger transport across the East Midlands. This family firm continues to provide Bilborough College with a high level of service and reliability. Sheila Hayward is the coordinator of the bus services and can be contacted on 0115 8515000 or Sheila.hayward@bilborough.ac.uk if you have any further queries. This booklet will give you an overview of our bus services. If you wish to use any of the bus services please complete and return a bus pass application form (preferably at enrolment) along with the appropriate payment. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, credit/debit card or direct debit. A discount is offered to those that can pay in full in advance, rather than direct debit. Bus passes for all routes also include use of the College Link buses to Nottingham and Derby although we are unable to guarantee a seat on these services due to high demand. For more information please visit our website www.bilborough.ac.uk Quality Assured Service Friendly, CRB checked, qualified and trained drivers All buses and coaches fully fitted with seatbelts High standard of operational efficiency dedicated contacts for Bilborough College A family run local operator with 90 years experience Member of The Guild of British Coach Operators Regular drivers on all routes where possible

Overview of areas covered by Bilborough College buses

Zones and Pricing The College does not pass the full price of the dedicated college bus travel on to students. Bursary students* will have the full cost of their bus pass covered by bursary funding. All nonbursary students have this year had the cost of their dedicated college bus pass subsidised by approximately 50% of the true cost of the pass. The price list below outlines the cost of the passes for the academic year 2017-2018 and include the college subsidy. All college routes have been zoned by distance and travelling time, and priced accordingly. A bus pass covers morning and afternoon journeys to and from college for the full academic year (term time only) including study leave and exam periods. Students are expected to pay for travel for the full academic year, proportional bus passes are not available, however if a student only wishes to use the bus occasionally they can purchase single journey tickets from Student Support priced at 2.50 per each way journey. ZONE/ Full Price 1 450* (approx. 12 p/w) 2 510* (approx. 13 p/w) 3 572* (approx. 15.50 p/w) 4 726* (approx. 20 p/w) COST TO STUDENT 10% early bird discount** 408 if paying by direct debit 450 paid in 8 instalments of 56.25 10% early bird discount** 464 if paying by direct debit 510 paid in 8 instalments of 63.75 10% early bird discount** 520 If paying by direct debit 572 paid in 8 instalments of 71.50 10% early bird discount** 660 If paying by direct debit 726 paid in 8 instalments of 90.75 Routes and tables Please make sure you arrive at your bus stop at least 5 minutes before the scheduled time. Although our service is very reliable, there are sometimes situations beyond our control, such as poor weather or traffic conditions, which may affect timings. Wherever we are aware of such situations we will notify students by text message. Stops shown on the timetable are timing points, If the bus passes by a bus stop between the points, students can use these stops. *if you have a household income of less than 25,000 then you may be entitled to a 16-19 FE bursary. Successful bursary applications include cover of transport costs to college (College dedicated buses and Nottingham City transport). ** We provide an early bird discount of 10% for those who pay in full BEFORE September 15 th 2017. All prices reviewed annually
