Amtrak Unstaffed Stations - New Ticketing Options: Sales from unstaffed stations previously were blocked in Euronet as travelers had no method for retrieving tickets. These locations will now be made available for sales. Unstaffed stations will now offer the following ticketing options (with Amtrak handling the fulfillment/ticketing): TBC Ticket by Conductor (only applicable for a limited number of unstaffed stations) TBM Ticket by Mail (for bookings made 8 or more days in advance, no additional charge) TBX Ticket by Express Mail (for bookings made 3 8 days in advance, $15 cost) Most deliveries will involve either Ticket by Mail (TBM) or Ticket by Express Mail (TBX); tickets will be mailed directly to the passenger or to your agency pulling shipping information directly from Euronet. Only US and Canadian addresses will be possible, and Euronet will prompt you with a pop-up screen to ensure this option is acceptable before confirmation. For a limited number of routes, Ticket by Conductor (TBC) will be offered if the train departure date is within 8 days of booking creation. In this case the ticket will be printed by Amtrak at an earlier stop on the route and the passenger will be given the ticket onboard by the conductor. Below is a recap of all Amtrak pick-up & delivery options offered for staffed and unstaffed stations. Code Description Amtrak Ticket Delivery Options TBC Ticket by Conductor (Only valid at certain unstaffed stations - Booking is less than 8 days before train departure date) TBM Ticket by Mail (Unstaffed station - Booking is 8 or more days before train departure date) TBX Ticket by Express Delivery (Unstaffed station - Booking is between 3 8 days before train departure date $15 charge) TML Ticket by Metrolink Machine (Only valid at certain staffed stations) TOF Ticket through Ticket Office (Staffed station - Applies to normal e-ticketing for stations without Quik-Trak machines) TVM Ticket by Quik-Trak/Ticketing Kiosk (Staffed station - Applies to normal e-ticketing for stations with Quik-Trak machines) Display before confirmation: Each delivery option (above) will be automatically determined by Euronet and is dependent upon the ticketing options for each station and the length of time from booking creation to train departure date. The final ticketing method will appear only after confirmation by Amtrak. Currently, the Solution Details pop-up window will at best provide an estimated accuracy of 80 percent in regard to staffed, unstaffed stations. For this purpose: Unstaffed station indicates the passenger will only be offered delivery options by mail Staffed station indicates the passenger can go to the station and retrieve the ticket from a ticket office, ticketing machine (Quik-Trak) or from the conductor onboard the train) Solution Details: 1
