3 Paent Package Heat Teatment Room As you may have head, thee has been a esugence of bed bugs in the Lowe Mainland due to the fact that they ae geat hitchhikes and yes, they will tag along to camp too! Bed bugs have been found in hotels, hospitals, libaies and so on; howeve it hasn't been a poblem at Camp Jubilee yet. Let's keep it that way! At Camp Jubilee we ae awae of bed bugs and have poactively taken steps to avoid poblems. We have set up a bed bug heat chambe on site to heat teat all belongings of the guests (and the staff) to pevent any bed bugs sneaking into camp. Pack you camp gea into 2 bags and please make sue that any clothes you may need duing the fist few hous at camp (i.e. ain jacket, sweate, etc.) ae out of the bag that will be going in to the heat chambe. 1. 1 bag should have clothing, bedding and "non-melt-able" items only. The second bag should contain all the 'melt-able items such as: Toilety poducts (such as toothpaste) Flashlights Batteies Electonics Any liquids 2. What should you do when you come home fom camp? As a pecaution, you should put all of the clothes and the bag into the dye and dy eveything fo at least 20 minutes on the heat cycle. This is an impotant fom which is equied by all students attending camp. Please complete the Camp Jubilee Special Diet Request Fom and etun to the school. Fist Aid & Medication Aival Day A school staff membe will be the sole peson esponsible fo Fist Aid and dispensing of any medications. A Camp Jubilee staff membe will be available to povide back-up Fist Aid suppot. All medication must be stoed and locked in the Fist Aid oom at all times, the key to which will be povided to the designated school Fist Aid Attendant. Lunch on the day of aival is NOT INCLUDED and paents ae esponsible fo sending a bagged lunch with thei child. We advise paents to pack a slightly lage lunch than usual, as students tend to be hungie with inceased activity. Please note: Camp Jubilee staff ae not pemitted to administe any medication including ove the counte dugs such as ASA o cough syup. Please povide you own medication. We ae sensitive to allegies and dietay estictions and place the highest pioity on ensuing safety. Camp Jubilee is a 30 minute boat ide to Deep Cove, Noth Vancouve. Theefoe guests should undestand it would take appoximately 30 minutes to access medical suppot in the fom of BC Ambulance Sevice. Guests who equie medicine to teat thei allegic eactions must bing thei own including EPIPEN and/o Benadyl (o simila poduct). Futhe, guests should consult with thei docto to establish amount of medicine equied fo the tip, as the effects of the medicine may wea off afte 10-20 minutes and additional medicine (i.e. injections) may be equied. -
Activities involved in this tip may include (but ae not limited to) hiking, oienteeing, canoeing, ock climbing, appelling, opes couses, spots and games, swimming, achey, kayaking as well as vaious leadeship activities and team building challenges and initiatives. I undestand that outdoo activities pesent to the paticipant a wide vaiety of isks, hazads and conditions, not all of them easily foeseeable, which could esult in any type of physical o emotional injuy. These conditions may include, but ae not limited to uneven teain, changeable weathe conditions, animal and plant life, and use of assoted vehicles, gea and equipment including vaious types of safety gea. I undestand that such isks simply cannot be eliminated without jeopadizing the essential qualities of the activity. I undestand that the school/oganization is not always equipped with the skills, taining, equipment and insuance necessay to undetake these types of educational activities, and will at need to enlist the aid of outside agencies that embody and abide by high pofessional standads within thei industy. I acknowledge that the outside agencies involved in this paticula educational tip at Camp Jubilee Reteat and Confeence Cente include the Camp Jubilee Society and Indian Am Management Sevices Ltd. and that they have both ead and sanctioned this ageement. I expessly agee and pomise to accept and assume all of the isks existing in this activity that ae in my contol. I do not have to paticipate in the activities if I do not feel comfotable o confident in doing so. I cetify that I have no medical o physical conditions that could intefee with safety, o else I am willing to assume and bea the costs of all isks that may be ceated, diectly o indiectly, by any such condition.
