Via these internship, students have the opportunity to develop familiarity with the Australian workplace culture while applying their academic learning in real workplace situations. Sydney, Australia Will depend on internship. Previous Global Fellows who were placed in Sydney in 2016 and 2017 developed and implemented social media campaigns, produced content for webpages, worked with Google Analytics or Salesforce, performed data analysis, organized events or assisted in research projects The Sydney internship program staff will support Fellows throughout the Spring semester to finalize their placement in a non-profit organization or company. Applicants who apply for placements in Sydney, will be selected for the location and will skype with the Sydney staff to determine the exact placement. What schedule is the student expected to work? What is the minimum and the maximum duration of the internship? Are there specific start and end dates? Are there any social activities at your organization that the student can participate in? Besides the Global Fellows stipend, are there any other benefits that your organization will provide to the student? A 9-5pm schedule will be the norm 8 weeks All Sydney internships will start on May 28 and students should plan to arrive by the end of the previous week to move into accommodation and participate in the welcome/orientation The University of Sydney organizes a welcome event the weekend before the internship start date and activities throughout the summer. Students will be accommodated at the Urban Nest, a dorm for internship participants, located in downtown Sydney. The Global Fellows stipend covers cost for this accommodation. Sydney staff will pick up students from the airport. Students participating in the internship program will also enroll in a 3- credit class at the University of Sydney that is a required component of the Sydney Internship Program. The three credits will transfer back to Cornell

Mine and analyse data for an established decision sciences start-up helping enterprise and government solve big business and social challenges. Act as a tutor and workshop assistant in a not-for-profit creative writing centre for underprivileged youth from the greater Sydney area Develop public policy for the property investment industry and advocate on their behalf to NSW policy makers, in areas like housing affordability, diversity, sustainability, and hotel and tourism policy. Work on photography/styling, video or social media/writing for a multi-platform beauty website founded by the former Beauty and Health Director of Vogue Australia. Review applications and create briefs and case analyses for a psychology and law research program that considers cases of possible wrongful convictions with an aim to seek justice for wrongfully convicted inmates.
