GRAMMAR 01 Comparing Complete Sylvia s account of her summer holidays with the correct form of the words in brackets. The (1) (good) holiday I ve had so far was when I went to Paris last summer. Paris is one of the (2) (pretty) cities in Europe. It has the (3) (beautiful) buildings I ve ever seen and some of the (4) (interesting) architecture. I saw some amazing sights, and I even went up the Eiffel Tower, which was (5) (exhausting) than playing a tennis match. It would have been (6) (quick) to go up with the elevator but walking was a lot (7) (cheap). I even spoke some French it was (8) (easy) than I had imagined! However, my French pronunciation was even (9) (bad) than my English pronunciation! Then after two weeks and lots of practice my French seemed (10) (good) than my English!
