Tell City-Troy Township School Corporation Home of the Marksmen 2015-2016 Bus Route Information We continue working with the City of Tell City with their get healthy initiative. In doing so, there will once again be walking areas for students in grades 7-12 within the city of Tell City. There will be no 7-12 school bus services for students that live within 5 blocks of the Jr-Sr High School. For those outside this area, there will be designated stops that the 7-12 students living in that specific area will need to get to on their own if they desire bus service. Read route descriptions below and see map posted in the building for details. Buses 9, 10, and 15, run double routes (two morning routes and two afternoon routes). A routes will be the first students picked up each morning and they will be the first ones delivered home in the afternoon. B routes will be the second ones picked up each morning and the second ones delivered home in the afternoon. The exception to this is any 7-12 student riding an A route will stay on the bus until B route students are also picked up. These buses will only make one stop at Tell City Jr-Sr High School. Listed below are the bus route descriptions that we will begin the school year with. Several are different than last year, so please review and determine your child s closest bus stop. These descriptions are for the morning bus routes. Afternoon bus routes will cover the same areas and go to the same stops listed, but drivers will decide the exact route he/she will follow. Drivers will do their best to be consistent with the time the bus arrives at each stop from day to day. Please understand that we allow each individual driver to review the area he/she is covering and make adjustments to the exact locations of the bus stops once the year gets started. We sometimes have to balance student loads from one bus to another. Factors such a student safety and student numbers in a certain area will be considered, and will communicate such changes along to those families affected. Please be patient. We also strongly encourage parents/guardians to keep their child s designated afternoon transportation method as consistent as possible. If your child does need to go home any way other than his/her normal way, make sure you contact their school office by telephone or by a note each time. Failure to do so will result in us following normal procedures for getting your child home.
