ARRIVAL: 9:30am 1 Six Flags Blvd. Jackson, NJ PROGRAM: Approximately 10am-2pm PARKING: FREE FOR BUSES Please note that vehicles must be escorted from the service entrance to a special parking area for the start of the program. Please have all students and chaperones arrive on buses. Additional vehicles are subject to a $5 parking fee and may delay the entrance experience. Buses should enter through the Six Flags Service/Employee entrance From Route 537 West: Drive past the main entrance to the theme park. The service/employee entrance will be ¼ mile up the road on your left hand side. Stop at the security booth and wait to be escorted to the program location. PROGRAM START A Six Flags representative will meet your bus upon arrival The program begins with a presentation from our Marine Animal team in Safari Discoveries From there, students will be split into groups and assigned a tour guide to walk over to board our Safari Off Road Adventure vehicles (please have your truck assignment sheets ready to the Six Flags Team member to expedite the loading procedure). There will be a restroom at this location next restroom availability will be approx. 30 mins. Your group will then walk over to the Safari loading station, board our Safari trucks and disembark with their tour guide. CAMP AVENTURA Halfway through the tour, the trucks will stop at Camp Aventura where students will tour small animal exhibits and have the opportunity to visit the gift shop LUNCH: Students are permitted to bring food with them into the park. Please have lunches available for transport either in a cooler or with the students. Please note: no food is available to purchase day of event. There are restrooms available at Camp Aventura Guests will join their tour guide for the 2 nd half of the Safari Off Road Adventure Tour and be back to bus no later than 2:00pm. SAFARI TRUCKS: Each Safari truck holds 31 people. Wheelchair accessible trucks hold 2 wheelchairs and 20 people. Worksheets will be available to assist in grouping your students prior to their arrival at the park. Please let us know if you will require a wheelchair accessible vehicle. Expect light walking and to be outdoors regardless of weather. The trucks are open air and can get cold. Make sure to dress appropriately and have your cameras ready!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Each rider must maintain in an upright seated position with their back against the seatback during the duration of the ride and their arms, hands, legs, and feet inside the ride vehicle at all times. Full leg or arm casts are permitted. WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: Not all wheelchairs meet the safety requirements of the on board restraints. Riders using an electric wheelchair or an ECV must transfer into a manual wheelchair in the Safari station or utilize a seat on the truck. *INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE This is an outdoor experience, the trucks are covered but with open sides. Students should be dressed appropriately to be outside. If rain is too heavy for our animals at Camp Aventura, students will receive an express tour of the safari and be brought back to eat their lunch and meet our Animal Ambassadors inside Best of the West, an indoor restaurant located next to the Safari Off Road Adventure loading station.
