As the Republic of South Africa Welcomes the World, We Welcome You Honeywell Aerospace is supporting business aviation customers flying to the 2010 FIFA World Cup this month. The soccer games in South Africa, June 11 July 11, are expected to attract a large volume of business aviation aircraft every day during the four week event. The 2010 FIFA World Soccer Cup will be held at various cities throughout the Republic of South Africa. Our Field Service Engineers will be concentrating their support at the following major general aviation/international airports in the area: Lanseria International Airport O.R. Tambo, Johannesburg International Airport Cape Town International Airport Pretoria International Airport Durban International Airport The Republic of South Africa has an established in region support network in place with Honeywell. In addition, Honeywell has positioned mechanical and avionics systems spares close to the team to help mitigate potential issues that may delay aircraft departures. Assisting the field service team is Honeywell s state-of-the-art 24/7 Technical Operations Center staff to provide extra coverage for Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations. Pre-Event Support Plan: In addition to the Honeywell worldwide spares stocking locations, Honeywell is working with our channel partners at Lanseria Airport to place an increased inventory level of mechanical and avionics components to be readily available in region.
