day 1 Depart London Heathrow BMI Flight No: BD771 at 9.15 / arr. Cairo 16.15 Transfer to hotel in down town Cairo. Dinner later, in one of the traditional local restaurants with a project briefing held in the lounge of the hotel afterwards.
day 2 After breakfast, pick-up and depart from the hotel at 7.30 in private air-conditioned mini busses for Siwa Oasis. The route is towards Alexandria, then west along the Mediterranean coast via several El Alamein (WW II) memorial sites towards the beautiful coastal city of Marsa Matrouh, then south west through the Qattara Depression on route to the Great Sand Sea and the Siwa Oasis arriving in the ancient town of Shali at appox.15.30 Lunch, comfort and photo breaks on route.
day 2 cont. After arriving in Shali and checking into: Albabenshal Heritage Hotel.a good walk around the town is recommended to stretch the legs. An excellent ala carte dinner is served later at Albabenshal, on the roof top over looking the town and afterwards a project briefing is held.
day 3 After breakfast depart on a 15min drive to Siwa Oasis and Adrère Amellal www.siwa.com for a guided tour of one of world s best low-carbon eco developments. Siwa Sustainable Development Initiative www.eqi.com Lunch under the palm trees, then a discussion about the findings. At 15.30 depart by 4x4 into the Great Sand Sea stopping at ancient springs and to have drinks watching a desert sunset. Dinner back in Shali and an after dinner debrief.
day 4 After breakfast depart by donkey taxi and bicycle to visit the Mountain of the Dead and thetemple of Amun stopping for lunch at Cleopatra's pool. Then back to Shali and a walk through the ancient fortress town. Dinner under the stars and Shali at night, then a fireside discussion and debrief.
day 5 After breakfast, pick-up and depart from the hotel at 7.00 in private air-conditioned mini busses for Cairo. The route is north east back through the Qattara Depression towards Marsa Matrouh, then east along the Mediterranean coast past El Alamein towards Alexandria then south to Cairo and the hotel Pension Roma, arriving at appox.15.30 Lunch, comfort and photo breaks on route. Dinner at the Aga Khan remediated waste dump Al-Azhar Park
day 6 After breakfast, pick-up and depart for the Pyramids in Giza. Lunch, then to the Egyptian Museum. Late afternoon transfer to the airport for a short flight to Sharm El Sheikh. Then transfer to Dahab and check into the Coralia Club beach hotel. Dinner at Coralia.

day 7 After breakfast, a desert expedition briefing and desert kit check, then the rest of day at leisure to relax, windsurf, swim, snorkel or dive, visit the town and purchase any items needed for the desert expedition. Lunch at leisure. Dinner-Banquet at Jasmin restaurant on the beach front.
day 8 After breakfast depart for St. Katherine Lunch and afternoon visit to Bedouin mountain gardens. Cultural dinner in the mountains and over night in the Bedouin mountain eco lodge.
day 9 Morning briefing. After lunch a short drive to meet our Bedouin team and camels at the Expedition Start Point Desert Camp 1 / Sedud.
day 10 Break camp and walk 6.4 km Lunch Then walk 5.5km to Desert Camp 2 / Khscheb
day 11 Break camp and walk 5.4 km Lunch at Wadi Amlag well then walk 2 km to desert Camp 3 / Wadi Amlag
day 12 Break camp and walk 6.4 km Lunch at Makhad / Acacia tree then walk 6.9km to Desert Camp 4 / Wadi Kid Oasis
day 13 Break camp walk out through Wadi Kid to meet our vehicles to transfer back to Dahab before lunch. Check into Coralia Club. Afternoon and evening free.
day 14 Dahab debrief workshops and assignments. Afternoon visit to Moray Beach to swim relax and work on assignments. Dinner- beach banquet.
day 15 Morning free in Dahab then transfer to Sharm el Sheikh to Cairo to catch evening flight back to London : BMI BD 772 CAI LHR Dep 17.00 Arr LHR 20.25
