Like no Place on Earth November 2015 Capturing the stunning landscapes of Heaven s Landing and the Northeast Georgia mountains requires a unique combination of good weather, willing pilots, capable aircraft, and of course, a great photographer. We are fortunate to frequently be able to work with one of the best: Peter McIntosh. Peter specializes in landscape photography but has a connection to aviation as well. He started his career as an Aviation Photographer s Mate in the U.S. Navy. Peter is legendary in Rabun County, and his photographs have been featured in many renowned publications. AOPA Fly-In in Tullahoma, TN What s Happening in Heaven page 7 One of the main goals of the AOPA fly-ins across the country is to get kids interested in aviation! At the Kids Village, kids can try out flight simulators (bottom right), explore the inside of a Beechcraft (right), try on a flight suit (below), along with other great activities. The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association unites hundreds of thousands of aviators from around the world. They seek to educate both pilots and the public about safety, technology, and general aviation. The Association advocates for general aviation locally and nationally, through policy promotion, legal services, and numerous resources. Whether or not you are an AOPA member, you can still benefit from their unending efforts to better the community of general aviation! In the past year, Fortify has been named one of the Top 100 Best Restaurants in America from OpenTable. They ve also received a Silver Spoon Award from Georgia Trend Magazine, one of ten restaurants across Georgia reflecting the changing notion of what it means to be Southern.

Heaven s Landing Hike down to Bridal Veil Falls in Tallulah Gorge State Park this month to watch the adventurous whitewater rafters! The park will be selectively releasing water through the gorge, making rafting exciting and the falls more beautiful than ever! Be sure to bring lots of water.
