The 2014 National Corvette Museum Caravan has 29 Captains across the United States and Canada, organizing this Caravan under the National Chair, Paul Mariano..
Washington Our Pacific NW Caravan section consists of: Oregon Idaho Montana AND ALASKA!
On Friday, August 22, 2014, we start from The Seattle Area, Portland Area, And Boise Area. Seattle and Portland head Lunch at Columbia Park And Boise heads for a stop in Twin Falls
Washington and Oregon then head up to Worley, ID at the Coeur D Alene Casino and Resort for a Reception and Raffle And Southern Idaho head for the La Ritz Hotel in Idaho Falls with a BBQ Dinner at a nearby location
Day 2 of our trip... A BIG Day! After we leave Worley, we head to Missoula, Montana where we pick up more cars and have our lunch stop. Southern Idaho travel the Westside of Yellowstone for lunch and meet up with us in Bozeman, Montana We are invited to the Private Ranch of Mr. Dave Ressler. Mr. Ressler has offered to display 25 of his cars from his Car Collection, including the Vin #3 Corvette. He is also hosting our dinner at this location.
After our Dinner, we drive onto Billings, MT at the Holiday Inn Grand for the end of the evening.
Sunday, August 24, we leave Billings and head to Casper, WY for lunch: The Wyoming Captain, Lynn McBride, has arranged for us to meet up at the Eastridge Mall, in Casper, WY where we will have lunch. When we arrive in Cheyenne, WY Sunday evening, we have the option to tour the Cheyenne Depot Museum. They have agreed to be open exclusively for us from 5:00-8:00pm. Restaurants are available nearby.
Monday we head for Lincoln, Nebraska. Along the way you have some options: A stop in North Platte, Nebraska is the mid point of our Caravan across Nebraska. Or stop at the Great Platte River Road Archway in Kearney, Nebraska.
Monday evening, we arrive at the Hay Market District of Lincoln Nebraska. The Nebraska Caravan group, led by Captains Bruce Younglove and Bill Zuspan will help to celebrate our arrival. Local area Restaurants will be available near our hotel.
Tuesday morning we leave our hotel and travel a few miles over to the Museum of American Speed. Our Nebraska Captains have arranged for a free entry. A lunch is being planned near the area before our Caravan departure to Columbia, MO for our evening stay.
Day 6 in Columbia, MO is the Day we have been waiting for..... Our final destination, the National Corvette Museum! Lead by our KS/MO Captain, Joe Moncado.
By individual reservation, you can tour the Corvette Assembly plant, located near the Museum. And of course, the Grand Opening of the NCM Motorsports Park!
Various activities will be going on around the Museum, such as Seminars and area attractions that self guided directions will be offered. You may go to the Bowling Green visitors guide for more information. Also, Nashville is about an hour away. You may also visit their Visitor guide for information on the Grand Old Opry and sites. Just remember to stay safe and follow all the road rules per the various states we travel to and stay.
This 20 th Anniversary of the National Corvette Museum Caravan is one that shouldn t be missed. We Arrive Wednesday, August 27, and most stay till Sunday, August 30. Everyone's return trip is on their own. People go North, South, East and West afterwards. Hotels are blocked for our stays on the way to Bowling Green and offered to Registered Participants only. A detailed Route Book will be provided to Registered Participants. You may purchase the Caravan Clings and Flags through your Captains only.
