The informative and interactive displays will give you insights to the history of the Resort, Anangu culture, Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata-Tjuta (the Olgas) and the surrounding desert environment. You ll find the Visitors Centre adjacent to Desert Gardens Hotel. Audio Guides are available at the Visitors Centre for $2.00 per tour available languages German, Japanese, Italian and English. Uluru Kata-Tjuta National Park Entry Fee There is a National Park Entry Fee for access into the Uluru Kata-Tjuta National Park. This ticket is valid for 3 consecutive days. Most tours do not include this fee. National Park tickets can only be purchased from the National Park Entry Station. $25.00 Walking Track Legend Some tours operating within the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park involve some walking on tracks. Most of the walks around the base of Uluru are flat and easy, where some of the walks around Kata Tjuta can be more moderate in difficulty, with slopes and rocky paths. When both symbols appear, the track is considered to be Easy to Moderate, or in some cases there are 2 tracks to choose from. CAMEL TOURS Camel Express Uluru Camel Tours Catch the Camel Train and ride good-natured camels for 45 minutes through desert landscape with views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta. After the ride browse the museum and souvenir shop for that quirky camel souvenir. $75 Camel to Sunrise - Uluru Camel Tours A peaceful 1 hour camel ride through stunning sand dune country with the back drop of Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Take in the morning air and watch as the rising sun lights up Uluru and the surrounding plains. Skilled cameleers describe the flora and fauna along the trail. Enjoy billy tea, coffee and freshly baked beer bread back at the farm after the ride. $119 Camel to Sunset - Uluru Camel Tours Travelling for one hour on our friendly camels in this spectacular desert region brings you closer to nature and offers great views of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park World Heritage Area. A refreshing glass of sparkling wine or beer and tasty snacks await you at the end of the trail. $119 Please note: Uluru Camel Tours must be advised if any individual's weight exceeds 100kg, two persons travel per camel. EXPERIENCES BY AIR Uluru Hot Air Balloon Tour Outback Ballooning Collected in the early morning you are driven into the surrounding desert where your pilot will have the balloon ready for the spectacular pre dawn inflation. Once in the air the vastness of the Australian Outback punctuated by the magnificent Uluru will become apparent. Outside the National Park the flight path has never been accessible to visitors without special permits. It is an area unchanged by humans with no cattle stations, no mining and only a couple of tiny bush tracks. After returning safely and some fun packing the balloon back into its bag; refreshments and sparkling water or fruit juices will await. Safety is the primary concern and in the infrequent case of it being too windy, the hot air balloon flight will be cancelled. Should this occur, guests will have journeyed on the intimate Traditional Lands Tour. A local informative guide will take passengers to the pinnacles of the Patji Rocks for a unique view of the sunrise. From there, travel along the bush track to the waterhole that was home of the Uluru family for many years. Whilst enjoying refreshments visitors will learn of the culture and strength of the people and see how harmoniously the Anangu people lived with the environment. SUNRISE & MORNING TOURS SEIT Uluru Trek SEIT Outback Australia As you start your sunrise trek around the 14km base trail of Uluru you will embrace the culture, geology and environment that is the essence of this amazing monolith. Your guide will tell the cultural stories (Tjukurpa) of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python), well as many other Aboriginal creation stories associated with this Central Australian icon. Along the trail you will witness the sunrise, visit waterholes and the rock art sites of the ancients and learn of Uluru s cultural significance to the Anangu (local Aboriginal) people. Continue to Kantju Gorge, where after rainfall, water can cascade over the side of Uluru and plunge some 90 metres to the ground. Kata Tjuta Valley of the Winds Walk - AAT Kings Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) where your Driver/Guide will explain the geological history of these giant domes. You will then be escorted on a 2-3 hour walk in the valley between the massive red conglomerate rocks. The walking path is rocky and requires a good level of fitness. Marvel at the unique flora and fauna that has survived in this harsh environment. When you reach the Valley of the Winds Lookout, take some time to gaze out over the central valley of Kata Tjuta.
