It is walking distance to the centre of Menton with it's shops and restaurants. This colourful villa is ideally located to visit the 'French Riviera', and the north of the Italian Mediterranean coast. Indeed, the Italian border is less than a kilometre away. 'Villa Menton' is a completely restored villa of 300 sqm located in Menton. It sits on a typically landscaped garden overlooking the sea and port, surrounded by exotic flora and fauna, giving to this charming townhouse a very Mediterranean feel. On the ground floor, the entrance hall with its original marble staircase opens onto a large living room with marble columns, open fireplace, sofas, antiques and many paintings, TV, DVD and CD players, and French doors to a dining terrace. Then, there is a dining room with fully equipped open plan kitchen, equipped with a Malongo expresso machine and coffee machine as well as TV, DVD and CD players. A guest WC. The entrance hall marble staircase leads to the first floor and it s four bedrooms, the Master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite bathroom and two further double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a single bedroom with separate shower room. Menton is a very colourful coastal town well-known for its favourable climate and lemon growing, it even celebrates the fruit during a festival each year between February and March. There are two restaurants (Pizzeria and 2 Michelin star) and little shops within a 5 min walk and a supermarket less than 5 mins by car. There are many restaurants and private beaches also less than 5 mins. The house is up hill overlooking 'Les Sablettes' beach (sand beach) and the port, with its cafes and restaurants; both are 3 minutes away by car, or can be reached by walking within 15 minutes. The Italian border is within a kilometre of the villa Monaco, its famous 'Casino' and Royal Palace are 13 kilometres away along the coastline. Monaco's harbour is home to some of the most impressive yachts in the world, and there are many shady umbrellas under which to sit and enjoy a coffee whilst watching the world going by in this glamorous setting. Nice, its jazz festival, art museums (a museum is dedicated to the French painter Henri Matisse), casino, etc. are 40 minutes away by car. Instead of driving you can take the train (station only 500 meters from the villa) which is an excellent and popular way to access all the villages and towns along this fashionable stretch of the Rivera coast from Nice to Italy. The house small garden is terraced on several levels landscaped with exotic plants, with different terraces shaded, or not, have been arranged with garden furniture, BBQ and dining table enabling guests to dine and / or relax while enjoying the views over the sea and Menton harbour. The botanical gardens were created with the help of different expert botanists and pharmacologists, with an early emphasis on pharmaceutical plants.
