Formalities of entry to the Dominican Republic To know if you require a visa to enter the Dominican Republic and the requirements, consult the attached web page, www.mirex.gov.do the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, and www.consuladord.com of the Consular Services portal. In addition, we recommend you consult the embassy or consulate in your country for greater security. All foreign visitors who enter the Dominican Republic, with the tourist card sea visa, are sure of their valid passport, valid during the stay and departure of the Dominican territory. All the citizens of the countries in the capacity of legally entering the European Union, the United States of America, Canada and Great Britain, can enter a national territory of the Dominican Republic with the simple presentation of the Tourism Card (decree 691-07 dated December 18, 2007). In case a person wants to extend his at Dominican Republic, he can go through the offices of the General Directorate of Migration and request its extension, applicable for once. 6. Founded in 1498, it was the first colonial city which the Spanish Crown granted royal charter. Strolling along its narrow, old and well preserved cobbled streets, is a real pleasure.
