DAY 1 ARRIVE IN DOMINICAN REPUBLIC Welcome to Dominican Republic! Our tour guide will be waiting at the airport for your arrival. Transfer to the hotel after pick-up. Depending on the arrival airport, you shall check-in different hotels. Santo Domingo is the capital of Dominican Republic, also the first colonial city in the New World of Americas. The famous navigator Christopher Columbus first stepped on this land in the year of 1492. The first pedestrian, first cathedral of America and historic sites built in 16 th century are located in this unique city. Tomorrow, we will explore this charming colonial area. First stop is Alcazar de Colon, a living fortress that served as home for the family of Christopher Columbus s son, Diego Columbus who have been a vice king of the island from 1509 to 1514. Then visit Museo de las Casas Reales where the governor once lived there. Get more in-depth knowledge about the life of people in that period of time. Walk through the first street of New World, Las Damas; visit to Panteón Nacional and Plaza Columbus; First Cathedral of America. Lunch at cozy restaurant overlooking the Cathedral. Watch the entertaining 4D movie that tells the story of how Drake Francis countered Santo Domingo. Shop at the pedestrian El Conde which is famous for its variety of shops and architectural masterpieces of 20 th century. Then, visit to Faro de Colon, which stands for the most ambiguous yet impressive monuments of Santo Domingo. This memorial contains ash of the greatest seafarer Christopher Columbus. After the tour, transfer to the hotel in Punta Cana. Check-in and rest.
DAY 3 SAONA SUPERIOR After breakfast, transfer to La Romana and begin the tour of Altos de Chavon. Altos de Chavon is a unique town in La Romana located at the territory of one of the most prestigious vacation and living facility- Casa del Campo. It was built in 1976 representing the style of 16th century Italian village. Walking along ancient streets of the town it is hard to believe that the bricks the town is made of have been artificially worn out (distressed) by local craftsmen. Remarkable atmosphere of the town, stunning architecture of buildings, big variety of stores and little restaurants overlooking the high banks of Chavon river along with big number of highlights, such as: amphitheater of 5000 people capacity, fountain of wishes with fish in it, the Church of Saint Stanislav, house with weathercock where that accommodates the most famous Parsons New York design school, Taino Indians museum and very many exclusive stores that all contribute to unforgettable experience. DAY 3 SAONA SUPERIOR Take the speedboat driving across the sea like James Bond, snorkel to witness the variety of fishes and corals, have photo with star fishes. After arrival on Saona Island, enjoy the feast of lobsters, open bars. Free time to enjoy the sunshine and picturesque scenery combined of palm trees, pristine beaches and emerald sea. DAY 4 SAMANA NATURE TOUR Peninsula of Samana have been cut from Hispaniola for several ages. Being far away from the Capital, inaccessible mountains and deep rainforests have made Samana a favorite shelter for French and English freebooters. Exactly due to the isolation Samana have managed to preserve its virgin beauty. Lush tropical greenery and remarkably beautiful beaches make Samana one of the most attractive places in the world. Samana region is a perfect destination for the fans of eco-tourism: unique national park called Los Haitises with mangroves, picturesque isles and caves with ancient painting of Taino Indians; wonderful El Limon waterfall of 40 meters high; the Island of Cayo Levantado where Bacardi commercial was filmed and many, many more sightseeings. DAY 5 HOLA DOMINICANA Deep into Dominican countryside is not only about a chance to familiarize yourself with tropical nature, get to know what kind of plants are grown in Dominicana or visit small villages far from touristy area but also a great opportunity to learn more about Dominican people personalities, habits, way of living, its folklore and traditions, apprehend the heart and soul of locals by means of music and dances and last but certainly not least meeting local people by visiting their houses.
