On arrival at the Airport we will clear immigration and passport control, collect our luggage and proceed to the arrivals hall where we will be met by our tour escort. We will then be transferred to our hotel, The Brick Hotel BA (or similar) for six nights. City Tour (B,D) This morning sleep in, enjoy breakfast at your leisure and relax at the hotel. In the afternoon, we will have a comprehensive city tour of Buenos Aires, known as the Reina del Plata (Queen of the River Plate). Visit the many landmarks of this European-style city, including Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada and the Cabildo. Discover the working-class barrio of La Boca and the Recoleta Cemetery, the final resting place of Eva Perón. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner at Gourmet Porteño, one of the finest restaurants in the exclusive Puerto Madero district. MON 1 2 Pampas Estancia Tour (B,L) Today we take a full day tour to experience the gaucho culture and the traditional rural life on a Pampas Estancia. We will watch cultural performances at Estancia El Ombú de Areco here. We will also spend some time exploring the township of San Antonio de Areco. Once at the Estancia, we will partake in a Fiesta Gaucha a folkloric expose with songs, dance, Gaucho s skills and traditional costume, topped off with an enormous asado (bbq) luncheon Return to Buenos Aires. Evening and dinner at leisure. Buenos Aires - Cordoba (B) We check-out today and transfer to BA City Airport to check-in to ur Aerolíneas Argentinas flight to Córdoba. Flight time: 1 hr.25. On arrival, we transfer to the Holiday Inn Cordoba (or similar), where we will be staying for the next three nights. Spend the rest of the day at leisure in Córdoba. Argentina s second largest city is a bustling metropolis and university town. Founded in 1573, the city boasts some unique colonial architecture, including the Jesuit Block. 28 29 30 Golf Day - Buenos Aires (B,D) Today we play at one of the gems of Argentine golf: Buenos Aires Golf Club. Opened in 1994, this course ranks in the top 100 outside the USA. This evening experience legendary tango at La Ventana. Indulge in authentic local cuisine and entertainment by celebrated musicians and performers. Rugby Day! (B,D) Morning & afternoon free to explore BA. Later we will gather together to travel to Velez Sarsfield Stadium for the Pumas v. All Blacks Test Match. After the match we will transfer back to the hotel and onto a nearby pub to hopefully celebrate an AB s victory and enjoy a dinner menu. Golf Day Pilar (B) Pick up and transfer to Pilar Golf Club. Carts provided. Pilar is a 7,221 yard long course in the American style, with wide fairways, lots of water and fast greens. The rest of the day and evening is at leisure. 3 4 5 Golf Day - Potrerillo (B,D) Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before departing for Alta Gracia to play at Potrerillo de Larreta Golf & Country Club. A very picturesque course crafted superbly from a rocky mountain valley. On the way to the course there will be a chance to visit the 17th-century Jesuit estancia, one of the most impressive of Córdoba s World Heritage sites. Revolutionary Che Guevara spent his adolescence in Alta Gracia and his former home is now a museum which can also be visited. After the round, meet at the club restaurant to relive the day s golf and enjoy an early dinner overlooking the course. Golf Day - Cordoba (B) Today, we transfer the short distance from Cordoba city to Villa Allende to play golf at Córdoba Golf Club which is home to Angel Pato Cabrera, winner of the 2007 US Open and the 2009 Augusta Masters. After golf, we return to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Cordoba - Iquazy (B,D) We check-out today for our flights to Iquazu, via Buenos Aires. On arrival in Iquazu, we meet our guide and transfer to the Brazilian border, where after clearing customs, we will pass into the Iguaçu National Park to see the waterfalls from the Brazilian side. 5 6 7 (cont) Following the tour, we cross back into Argentina and check into the Hotel Mercure Iguazú (or similar) for a two night stay. Settle into your rooms, freshen-up and enjoy a buffet dinner at the hotel. Iguazu (B,D) We have an early start this morning. We meet our local guide and embark on a full day tour of the Iguazú National Park. Walk along the upper and lower trails around the spectacular Iguazú Falls, admiring the whole system of more than 270 different falls. Included in this adventure experience is a ride through the rainforest and a powerboat ride through the falls. At the end of the tour, return to the hotel for an evening at leisure. Enjoy a buffet dinner at the hotel. Iguazu - Mendoza (B) After a slower start this morning, we check out of the hotel and return to Iguazú Airport to check-in for our flight to Mendoza via BA. On arrival in Mendoza, check into the Sheraton Hotel (or similar) for a four night stay. Settle into your rooms and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. 11 12 13 Mendoza - Santiago (B) Today we check-out of the hotel and depart on a scenic overland crossing of The Andes (340 Km 7 hrs) to Santiago. We will stop en route to admire Mount Aconcagua. On arrival in Chile s capital city, we check into the Hotel Icon (or similar) located in the beautiful Las Condes district, for a three night stay. Dinner tonight will be at leisure Golf Day - Las Araucarias (B) Enjoy breakfast and then we transfer to play the last round of golf at Club de Golf Las Araucarias, a picturesque 18-hole course offering superb views over the Andes. The rest of the day and evening is at leisure. Santiago (B,D) Depart on a morning tour of the famous historical sights of Santiago; visit Cerro Santa Lucía, Palacio de la Moneda, Catedral Metropolitana, the Museum of precolombian Arts, and the Museum of Memory and Human Rights which details the trauma of Chile s bloody 1973 coup and the 17-year dictatorship that followed. Tonight, we will enjoy a farewell dinner at Las Vacas Gordas. MON 8 Wine Tour (B,L) After breakfast today you will be introduced to a specialist wine guide who will lead us throughout our day s wine tour. Visit two prestigious wineries and participate in various tasting sessions. Your guide will explain both the techniques of wine tasting and wine production. Following the tours, we will break for a delicious lunch at La Casa del Visitante. As the sun sets behind the Andes you will return to Mendoza city where you can spend the evening at your leisure. 14 16 Homeward bound (B) Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and check-out of the hotel before noon. There is time today for last minute shopping and sightseeing before departing for the airport to start our journey home via Buenos Aires. Arrival into Auckland We arrive back into Auckland early this morning, after losing a day crossing the date line. 9 Golf Day - Campo Mendoza (B) Enjoy breakfast and then transfer to Club de Campo Mendoza. This course has played host to Argentina s best golfers. Noted for its wonderful landscapes and contrasts of greens of the trees and fairways against the striking back-drop of the arid pre-andes. After the round, we transfer back to the hotel for an evening at leisure. 10 Golf Day - Tupungato (B) Today following breakfast, transfer to Valle de Uco (78 Km 1 hr 30 min) to play at Tupungato Winelands Golf Course. This extraordinary course designed by Mark Adams is located at 1,200 metres above sea level, surrounded by 60 hectares of dessert-like landscape, with magnificent views of the Andes and the 400 hectares of private vineyards in the real estate property. Prices All prices in the brochure are in New Zealand Dollars and are quoted per person. General Tour Information All standards of golf are catered for, but players should have an official NZGA handicap, or Australian equivalent. Players are to provide their own golf clubs. It is most important that all golf gear (including shoes) must be thoroughly cleaned prior to leaving both New Zealand & Australia as it is highly likely that they will be inspected by both Australian and New Zealand Customs/Biosecurity. Dirty clubs or shoes may incur heavy penalties. Motorised carts will be supplied where specified, with pull buggies provided at the rest (those players requiring motorised carts on all courses should indicate on the booking form). Upgrades from pull buggies to motorised carts will cost aprox $20 per player per round. If you wish to book your own airfare, you will be charged for a land only price. If your flight times do not coincide with other travellers in the tour, you will be required to make your own way to the accommodation at the start of the tour and to the airport at the end of the tour.
