This will be a trip that you will always remember and we want everyone to have a good time. Please remember that we expect excellent behavior, as you are representing our school. All school rules and the school Code of Conduct apply throughout the entire trip. General Notes Be sure to check the weather and plan accordingly. What you wear on the first day of travel will be what you wear for all first day events. We will not be stopping to change prior to touring. If you can carry it all at one time, you can take it. Just remember, you may have to carry your things up several flights of stairs. Label all luggage and luggage contents. Apparel-Remember: School dress code is in effect! 3 outfits of casual clothes (no dress clothes needed) Underwear (3) Socks (3) Comfortable shoes-there will be LOTS of walking (extra pair in case they get wet) Pajamas Watch/Phone to keep track of time Wallet or purse to carry your money Warm jacket (rain resistant with hood, if possible) Personal Items Hairbrush/Comb Toothbrush/Toothpaste Deodorant Shampoo Soap Hair dryer Flat/curling iron Contact case/solution Sunglasses Sunscreen Money Money for souvenirs and additional food items (Estimate: $50.00) Miscellaneous IPod, MP3 player, cell phones etc. to play music/games on bus (must have headphones) Phone charger Reading material for bus Small pillow for bus Snacks Snacks for the bus (no energy drinks) DO NOT Bring the Following Items Valuable jewelry Gaming systems Anything of high price value The school or travel company is not responsible for lost or stolen items. What you bring is your responsibility. Important Information/General Rules 1. Throughout the trip, the Perry Board of Education adopted Student Code of Conduct will be in effect. 2. Respect everyone s right to a pleasant trip 3. Keep voices down-no yelling, etc. on the bus, in the hotel, and in various tour sites. 4. Do not change seats while the bus is moving unless requested to do so by an adult.

5. Be careful with the adjustable seats. Please do not sit on the armrests. 6. No standing or walking around while the bus is moving. 7. You must wear your ID badge at times. (With the exception of when you are in your hotel room.) 8. Snacks and gum are permitted. 9. Dispose of all trash in proper places. 10. Everyone will be expected to help clean the bus when we are finished. Keep it clean as you go. 11. Headphones must be used for games, music, etc. 12. There is no place to charge your phone on the bus. 13. The restroom on the bus is for emergencies only. There will be several rest stops on the way. 14. Spray items on the bus are not permitted. 15. Your chaperone should know where you are at all times. 16. You must follow the directions of your tour guide at all times. 17. If you must use the restroom, ask your chaperone and go with at least one other person 18. Never leave your group alone or without permission. You should always be with a partner. 19. It is your responsibility to be aware of all meeting places and times. Do not make the entire group wait for you. 20. Choose a reliable person from your group to be in charge of your room key. One key per room will be given. 21. When at the hotel, you are to be in your own room. There are no exceptions to this rule and it will be strictly enforced. 22. Do not bother other hotel guests. 23. You are encouraged to go to sleep at a reasonable hour so you can benefit from planned activities. If you choose not to get a good night s rest, we will still expect you to participate in all activities. 24. No running in the hotel halls. 25. Keep your room neat. 26. No room service. 27. Chaperones will check rooms after our arrival and spot checks may be made at any time. If you need something, notify the security personnel. 28. Chaperones will put a piece of tape on doors for identification purposes of who needs assistance. If you open the door, the tape will break and let security know that you need something. Do not open your door unless you need security or have an emergency. Security will be in the halls at night. 29. Be sure you know emergency evacuation procedures. 30. If any damage is done to the room or furnishings, your parents will be notified and be financially responsible for damages. 31. In the hotel, keep your TV, devices, etc. at appropriate volumes that will not disturb others. 32. Call the front desk in the event of an emergency. Give your name, room number and chaperone name. 33. No calls are to be made outside of the hotel. Arrival Procedures for Monday Morning Students should arrive at 6:00am. Do not board your bus until you have your chaperone s approval to board. Departure time is 6:30am. You must be on time. We will not wait for you.

Parents should park in the Edison parking lot. If you arrive before the buses, please wait in your car until the buses arrive. Buses will be lined up in numerical order and the bus number will be posted in the window of the bus. Be sure you know your bus number. Bus numbers are posted on the hall bulletin board. Place your luggage in the cargo bay of the bus you are assigned to ride. You must report to your chaperone before you board the bus. Please sit with your roommates across the 4 seats in order to expedite attendance taking.
