Production in Canada of cook stoves and ranges, heating stoves, electric rengettes and electric and gas cooking plates amounted in value to 4,4,685,388 in 1932 conuared with 6,979,497 in 1931. Stove parts have not been included in these totals. Cutput in 1932 includee 49,038 coal and wood cook stoves and ranges, 23,513 gas cook stoves and ranges, 15,773 electric cook stoves and ranges, 25,110 coal and wood heating stoves, 2,167 combinations for gas and coal, 1,415 combinations for coal and electric, 39,655 electric cooking plates and grills, 3,977 electric rangettes and 6,018 gas cooking plates. n 1932, stoves, rangettes and cooking plates were produced in 52 different establishments of which 4 were in Nova Scotia, 4 in Now Brunswick, 7 in Quebec, 30 in Ontario, 3 in Manitoba, 3 in British Columbia, and 1 in Saskatchewan. The production in Ontario was valued at 3,533,437, n Quebec at 757,015, and in other provinces at 394,936. mports of stoves are included in the following items for 1932: "apparatus designed for cooking or for heating buildings, (a) for gas, 4,358 units at 83,745; (b) for coal, wood or oil, 320 ; 516; (c) for electricity, 316 units at 434,181. Exports of stoves (except electric stoves) were valued at 57,621.
