Fujikura s History 1885~1922 1923~1944 1945~ Beginning and Establishment 1885 Zenpachi Fujikura started manufacturing silk and cotton insulated winding wires in Kanda, Tokyo. Zenpachi Fujikura 1893 Fujikura started manufacturing rubber-insulated wires for the first time in Japan. 1903 Fujikura became the first recognized factory of rubber-insulated wires by the Department of Communication in Japan. 1919 Fujikura Gakuen, a facility for the mentally challenged children was established at Oshima. Fujikura started providing financial support for Fujikura Gakuen. Restoration after the Earthquake and Fujikura of Technologies 1923 The Fukagawa Head Office and Plant was completed but burned down during the Kanto Earthquake. Plant destroyed by a fire at Kanto Earthquake (Sep.1923) 1924 Fukagawa Head Office and Plant was reconstructed. 1931 Fujikura started manufacturing Fujiko Wires used for aircraft. 1941 Fujikura started manufacturing aluminium electric wires. Postwar and High Economic Growth Reconstructed Plant (Mar.1924) 1945 The Fukagawa Plant of Fujikura was burned down by air attacks during World War, and was rebuilt. 1949 Fujikura started manufacturing plastic electric wires. 1965 Sakura Plant, Fujikura s third plant, was opened after its second Numazu Plant in 1954. ~1972 1973~1990 1991~Present 1970 Suzuka plant, Fujikura s fourth plant was opened. 1979 Fujikura Singapore Pte. Ltd. was established in Singapore. 1984 Fujikura (Thailand) Ltd. was established in Thailand. This project has been very successful. It grew very rapidly as a result of production shifting to electronic materials and optical components. 1985 Fujikura celebrated its 100 th anniversary. 1988 PCTT Ltd. was established in Thailand. 1989 LTEC Ltd. was established in Thailand. Fujikura Engineerig (Thailand) Ltd. was established. 1990 Fujikura s new building was completed in Tokyo and integrated the Head Office. 1992 Corporate name was changed from Fujikura Electric Wire Corporation to Fujikura Ltd.. 1993 Tokyo R&D Center was opened. Interface Cable Assemblies Interface cable assemblies Fujikura cable and wire assemblies are widely used for both internal and external interconnecting of computer peripheral electronics and telecommunication devices. Fujikura cable also offers advanced EMC/EMI protection, cross-link reduction, and small delay time skew technology, along with high reliability to high-speed data transfer. We also provide a variety of high-performance, High-Speed Cable Assemblies with Fujikura s low skew cable technology, following industrial and custom solutions to meet customers requirements. They are used for servers, workstations, and storages. Micro Coaxial Cable Assemblies We provide a variety of Micro Coaxial Cable Assemblies, especially pointto-point interconnecting cables for high-performance applications. The diameter of individual coaxial cables is very small at 0.25 mm or less, and allow for a small wiring space with highly Micro coaxial cable assemblies flexible applications, while their cable structure offers EMC/EMI protection with high-speed data transmission. They are used for LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signal) transmission between LCD panels and motherboards for laptop computers, mobile phones, and digital cameras.
