Fax 519-354-5535 ORIGINAL CHARTER # 1011 issued - November 1 st, 1921 By: Keith Dawson Dec 9, 2015 This week's speaker, Todd Warriner, was introduced by Rotarian Wayne Schnabel, a long-time supporter of local minor hockey. Todd was raised in Blenheim where his mother has been involved with figure skating for over 25 years. Over the course of his career, Todd played professional hockey in Toronto, Tampa Bay, Phoenix, Vancouver, Philadelphia and Nashville. He also played for several teams in Europe. He was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in 1992 although he did not play for Quebec. He has the distinction of scoring the first goal in the new Air Canada Centre. Beginning in 2012, Todd became a commentator for the Windsor Spitfires. Many remember him as a participant in the Battle of the Blades, season 2. Todd has many exciting memories from his days in professional sports and shared some of his favourites with Rotarians. We are pleased that Todd has returned to this area to raise his own family and thank him visiting with our club today. Our thanks were expressed by Rotarian Ed Robbins.
