Conference by key industry leaders During the show period, conference was held in parallel to the exhibitions. 171 sessions covered hot topics in life science and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The conference program drew great deal of attention from the audience and put great impact to the industry. The keynote session of BIOtech Japan 2017 was about Growth Strategy and Future Vision for the Bio Industry - Challenges in Medical Care and the Role of Start-ups. Extremely important industry leaders such as Dr. Makoto Suematsu from Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) made speeches. The keynote session of BioPharma Expo 2017 was given by Ms. Takuko Sawada from Shionogi & Co., Ltd. and Ms. Kuniko Shoji from Terumo Corp. The topic was Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Manufacturers - R&D Strategies in the New Era. Industry leaders speeches including cutting-edge technology and trends brought the conference to success. Enthusiastic Academic Forum and Startup Innovation forum Academic Forum and Startup Innovation forum were held inside BIOtech Japan 2017. Many life science researchers from 102 universities/national research institutes presented their original and latest research outcome at Academic Forum. Those presentations drew interests from various visitors. Information exchange and technical consultation took place everywhere. Startup Innovation forum was held in purpose of partnering between bio startup companies and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Bio startup companies with drug seeds and new technologies joined Startup Innovation Forum from Japan and all over the world. The venue was full of enthusiasm.
The Executive Networking Party The executive networking party took place on the first day and brought great opportunity to VIPs from both exhibitors and visitors. 587 participants included executives from bio, pharma and cosmetics industries. Gathering many industry leaders from all over the world under one roof, the party was a great place for global networking.
