As a conference delegate, you will learn from world renowned Australian and International speakers and develop a better understanding of the medical issues that will affect you and your patients. Safdarjung tomb, delhi Taj Mahal, Agra DELHI As India s capital and a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis and one of the oldest capitals in the world. Delhi successfully combines in its folds - the ancient with the modern, and is a treasure trove for explorers. From Mughal monuments to modern malls, from traditional arts and crafts markets to trendy fashion shows, from skyscrapers to beautiful parks and gardens, a tour of Delhi will provide the discerning traveller with much to see and admire. AGRA The city of Agra, the quintessence of the grand Mughal era, reigns to this day in the public mind as the embodiment of royal grace, imposing architecture and power. Agra is globally renowned as the city of the Taj Mahal. But this royal Mughal city has, in addition to the legendary Taj, many monuments that epitomise the high point of Mughal architecture. No tour to India can be complete without paying a visit to this erstwhile capital of the Mughals and the city of the Taj Mahal, the world s most beloved monument. With its laidback lifestyle and its immense wealth of architecture, handicrafts and jewellery, Agra is amongst the most remarkable cities of the world. JAIPUR A vibrant city, which was established in the year 1727, Jaipur has been acclaimed as the first planned city in India. The capital of the former Kachwaha rulers, Jaipur offers a multifaceted tourist destination. This thriving city has derived its name from the illustrious ruler Sawai Jaisingh II, whose progressive thinking gave birth to a perfectly planned city. The term Sawai has been bestowed upon him by the then Mughal Emperor as an honour to his multifarious personality. This poetic expression literally means Jaisingh was more valuable than one person. Widely acclaimed as the Pink City of India, Jaipur proliferates in its magnificent past, bellicose history, renowned tradition, architectural elegance and natural vista. ACCOMMODATION Taj Palace Hotel New Delhi Quite like a gracious hostess epitomising the elements of an exquisite art; Taj Palace effortlessly wears the mantle of being one of the finest in New Delhi. Commanding six plush acres of New Delhi s prestigious diplomatic enclave, Taj Palace is the favoured destination of distinguished world travellers, heads of state and international conferences hawa mahal, jaipur Jai Mahal Palace - Jaipur Set amidst 18 acres of beautifully landscaped Moghul gardens, this incomparable Palace dates back to 1745 AD. A masterpiece in the Indo- Saracenic style of architecture, it blends spotlight-grabbing opulence with tantalising comforts that transport guests to a world of Rajasthan magnificence. It is located downtown, close to the main shopping and historical monuments.

itinerary SATURDAY 17 SEPTEMBER 2016 On arrival into New Delhi, group transfers have been arranged from the airport to your hotel. Evening The group will arrive in Jaipur and transfer to our hotel. This evening we will celebrate our arrival into Jaipur by coming together for a village-themed dinner at our hotel. SUNDAY 18 SEPTEMBER 2016 Day at leisure 7pm - 9pm Enjoy a Welcome Function at the hotel THURSDAY 22 SEPTEMBER 2016 8.30am - 1pm Conference sessions MONDAY 19 SEPTEMBER 2016 8.15am - 1pm 2pm Conference sessions Old Delhi tour Get ready for a tour of the oldest part of the city, nothing like you have ever experienced before! Downtown of any city anywhere in the world is said to be its heart and soul and the hub of activity that forms the traditional backbone of its economy. Also, it is often a representative of the years that made and transformed the city. Old Delhi has seen centuries of life and style and has retained these changes in its bosom, flowering as it was so long ago. Afternoon Introductory tour of Jaipur city Travel to Badi Chaupar (Large square), the heart of the planned city of Jaipur. The square is abuzz with kiosks selling flowers, Itr (Indian scent), colourful stoles, sarees and all sorts of Indian goods. Here you will meet our very gentle Safawala (person deft at tying several types of Rajasthani turbans). He occupies a vantage location in terms of the views it offers - a 360 degree view of Badi Chaupar with Hawa Mahal at a visible distance. The Safawala will welcome you at his shop (under the open sky), and he will tie a safa on the heads of gentlemen and stoles will be presented to the ladies. After photo opportunities, there will be time to walk through the colourful shops and reach one of the famous landmarks of Jaipur, the City Palace. The introduction of Jaipur will culminate at the City Palace with a guided tour of the official residence of the present Maharaja of Jaipur. Our journey starts with a tuk-tuk ride from your hotel, and then walking through the tiny alleys and riding through the bazaars on the back of a bicycle rickshaw. The journey includes; Chandni Chowk, Fatehpuri Mosque and the Darya Ganj Book Market. TUESDAY 20 SEPTEMBER 2016 8.30am - 1pm Afternoon Conference sessions Afternoon at leisure or optional tour of New Delhi WEDNESDAY 21 SEPTEMBER 2016 Morning The group will transfer to the airport for our charter flight to Agra Taj Mahal Visit This iconic structure was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, and was completed in 1653. This UNESCO World Heritage site is also listed as one of the seven new wonders of the world. The construction project employed around 20,000 artisans at an estimated cost of 32 million Indian Rupees, which in 2015 would be valued at around 52.8 billion Indian Rupees, or equal to over US$830 million. FRIDAY 23 SEPTEMBER 2016 8.30am - 1pm Afternoon Evening. Conference sessions Afternoon at leisure or optional tour of Amber Fort This evening we will join together for our farewell at the City Palace. We will arrive through the Tripolia Gate this entrance is otherwise used exclusively by the Royal Family. Witness the spectacular entertainment and enjoy dinner at the exclusive venue. SATURDAY 24 SEPTEMBER 2016 Delegates will be transferred by coach to Delhi (5-6 hours) for their return flight to Australia or connect onto one of several post conference tours on offer.
