Reissue No. 1 of the Rotorraft Flight Manual for Model 26gC Heliopters was approved and dated 21 Sept 1988. Subsequent revisions are tisted below by date with appropriate remarks. In addition, ompliane with CAR 6.401(b) effetive May 17, 1958 and CAR 6.637 effetive April 1, 1957 has been required, based on the onditions of Diretor, Bureau of Flight Standards letter dated Marh 27, 1959, granting extension of effetiveness of Appliation for Type Certifiate until July 1, 1959. Model 269B (Restrited Category): CAR Part 8 dated Otober 11, 1950. Model 269C (Normal Category): CAR Part 6 dated 15 January 1951, inluding Amendments 6-1 through 6-7 and 6-8, exept CAR 6.604(). In addition, ompliane with CAR 6.401(b) effetive 17 May 1958, CAR 6.637 effetive 1 April 1957 and FAR 27.1323 of Amendment 27-2 effetive 25 February 1968 in lieu of CAR 6.612(a) has been required. Model 269C was approved under the Delegation Option Authorization Provisions of FAR21. Model 269C (Restrited Category): FAR 21.25 dated February 1, 1965. Type Certifiate 4H12 issued April 9, 1959. Date of Appliation for Type Certifiate, January 23, 1956. Prodution Basis Prodution Certifiate No. 101. Equipment The basi required equipment as presribed in the appliable airworthiness regulations (See Certifiation Basis) must be installed in the heliopter for ertifiation. All required equipment that must be installed as well as optional equipment installations are listed in the following Hughes/Shweizer reports: JW-00-1 HTC-63-19 269B-X-8001 "Equipment List, Model 269A Heliopter" "Equipment List, Model 269A-1 Heliopter" "Equipment List, Model 269B Heliopter" (inluding onversation instrutions for Model 269B CAR Part 6 or Part 8 ertifiation basis). JX-80-45 "Equipment List, Model 269C Heliopter" Configuration a. JX-80-42 "Equipment List, Model 269C Heliopter" Configuration b. JX-80-43 "Equipment List, Model 269C Heliopter" Configuration. SA-269C-22-4 Equipment List, Model 269C Heliopter S/N 1796 Subseq. VI - Model 269D Heliopter (Normal Category). Approved September 14, 1992 See item VI(a) for optional Model 269D Configuration A Engine Fuel Rolls-Roye 250-C20W Gas Turbine Grade JP-4 or JP-5 per MIL-T-5624, Jet A, A-1, or B per ASTM D-1655, and Grade JP-8 per MIL-T-83133. Refer to Rotorraft Flight Manual and/or Rolls-Roye Operation and Maintenane manual for limitation and speial operating onditions.

(2) When prodution of ompleted produts as well as apars artiles has eased, the holder of a prodution ertifiate should rquest deletion of the appliable type ertifiate from his prodution limi trtion reord by a letter to the regional offie. A revised prodution lkitatim reord will be issued, and the iuperseded prodution flmitation reord would be anelled. (3) If the h o ld er of a prodution ertifiate C~ANM to manufature omplete produts e but ontinues to manufature spare artiles, his prodution limitation reord doea not require an amendment 130 pm 21, 1374NSPECTION AND TEST. Following the issuane of the prodution ertifiate, the FM will maiatutn periodi rurveiffme of the prodution failities and quality ontrol system, by the use of a Quality Assurane Systmns Analysis Review (QASAR) program. The QASAR program is a systans analysis by an inspetion team of the manufaturer s omplete quality ontrol system. If an inspetion or test onduted by suh an inspetion tam disloses that any part of the data or system whkh was originally approved does not fully meet the appliable requirements, the FM will request hanges to the quality ontrol system or data AS may be required. a. The FM onsiders any evidene of inspetion approval plaed on inspetion reords, test reports, or physial artiles as doumentation that the artile, proess, or manufaturing operation has been aepted by the holder of a prodution ertifiate. b l If an artile has passed through Q point offiially designated for inspetion, the omission of any required atamps or signatures, whih were designated to be applied at that point to the physial artiles, inspetion reords, or test reports, may be onsidered as nonompliane with approved quality ontrol data and proedures. lb l FUR 21.1610DISPLAY. The prodution limitation reord is part of and should be displayed wlth the prodution ertifiate. The holder of a prodution ertifiate may make opies of the prodution ertifiate and prodution limitation mord for dirplay in offies of outlying plants whith are part of the main maaufatutiq failities. 15 g 0 AR 21,163-PRIVILEGES. Obtain aimvorthiness ertifiate8 and related approvals wit)rout further showing, exept that the FAA may inspet produts for onformity with the type design. b. Obtain the appointment of individuals in his employ as Designated Manufaturing WCtiOn Representatives (XXIR) fmr the purpose of issuing airworthiness ertifkatea and related rrpprovala. (Ref. The holder of a prodution ertifiate has a basi responsibility for ontrolling the manufature of owleted produts and spare artiles in onformity with his FM-approved quality Control data and type design requirments. Al though this xwpmsibility never hanges, he my be relieved of some of the burden of inspetion and testing duties when he: (1) Uses other type ertifiated produt or produts manufatured under another person s prodution ertifiate, or whih bear an FM Ainmrthiness Approval Tag, FAA Form 8130-3. (2) Uses artiles produed under an FM TSO authorization. (3) Installs used artiles that onfom to the type design. (4) Uses artiles fabriated under an FM Parts Manufaturing Approva 1. (5) Delegates speifi inspetion and testing duties to suppliers. (a) The holder of a prodution ertifiate may be relieved of some of the burden of inspetion and testing when these f funtions are delegated to a supplier. However, the prodution ertifiate holder remains responsible for ontrolling the design, physial onfiguration, operating ondition of the artiles of produts furnished by suh a supplier. All hanges made by a supplier, to the design OY the physial produt OY artile, must be mabmitted to the holder of the prodution ertifirt for evaluation and approval as appliable under FAR 21, Subpart D. Thus, the holder of a prodution ertifiate. is responsible for obtaining FM approval of mrterirls review rtions OY other design hanges inluding those made to rupplier furnished artiles whih weie not designed OY manufatured by him rnd would also result in a hange to his type design data or to his produts. (b) A rupplir who holds an FM prodution approval, PC, APB, PMA, TSOA, or FM Repair Strtion Certifirt is also responsible when artiles OY servies furnirhed by him, to the prodution approval holder: Page 16 Par 15

R22 BETA with O-320-B2C August 7, 1985 or later (see NOTE 8). R22 BETA with O-360-J2A R22 Rotorraft Flight Manual dated Marh 16, 1979,with revisions through August 7, 1985 or later. For R22 Rotorraft Flight Manual with revisions prior to Otober 13, 2000, Flight Manual Supplement 7 dated January 31, 1996, or laterrevision, is required (see NOTE 8). R22 MARINER with O-320-B2C August 7, 1985 or later, and Flight Manual Supplement 4 dated September 9, 1985, or later revision. R22 MARINER with O-360-J2A August 7, 1985 or later, and Flight Manual Supplement 4 dated September 9, 1985, with revisions through Otober 13, 2000 or later. For R22 Rotorraft Flight Manual with revisions prior to Otober 13, 2000, Flight Manual Supplement 8 dated January 31, 1996, or later revision, is required in plae of Flight Manual Supplement 4.
