DAY 5 OAXACA - Mitla y Monte Albán Breakfast. During the morning visit to Monte Alban, a great archeological site to behold. Built on a mountain top flattened by the Zapotecs. Where we will find different culture manifestations such as Olmecs, Mixtecs and Zapotecs.The Main Square, the Observatory, Tomb # 7, the Stones of the Dancers. Later, we will continue on to Mitla, one of the most enigmatic sacred places. The village had a great importance as a burial site. The buildings are decorated with symbolic mosaics. In route we are going to find the Tule Tree, perhaps one of the biggest living beings in the world. Return to the city of Oaxaca. Accommodation. DAY 6 OAXACA / TUXTLA GUTIERREZ - SAN CRISTOBAL Breakfast. Transfer to airport for flight to Tuxtla Gutierrez (flight NOT included, and it has to landing before noon). Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital of Chiapas. pick up in the airport and transfer to the Sumidero Park. Lunch. Boat trip to the impressive Canyon Sink, with beautiful waterfalls. Flora and fauna impressive. Passing throught Chiapa de Corzo and great Moorish fountain in the way to San Cristóbal de las Casas. Accommodation.

DAY 7 SAN CRISTOBAL San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan Breakfast. Visit on foot the city of San Cristobal, market of fruit and vegetables, handcrafts market, churches of Santo Domingo and Cathedral; then in a van, move to a tzotzil community, SAN JUAN CHAMULA, famous because its traditions and festivities, it has one of the most enigmatic churches in the country; in its interior, the Chamulas participate in syncretic rituals creating a magic atmosphere. Then, move to ZINACANTAN, another tzotzil community, its temple is from the colonial age, though redecorated as neoclassic in the XIX century. In its interior it is possible to appreciate the peculiar mixture of catholic and indigenous beliefs. Most of the Zinacantecos cultivate flowers which colors remind us the color of their customs. Free evening in San Cristobal. Accommodation DAY 8 SAN CRISTOBAL Agua Azul Cascades - PALENQUE Breakfast. Departure from the hotel to Palenque, on the way we will have a technical stop before getting to Ocosingo, then we will visit THE AGUA AZUL CASCADES rapids, fallings and backwaters of the Tulija River; the river beauty, its shining and turquoise color captivates you. Then we move to Palenque to visit the archeological zone of Palenque, one of the most remarkable Mayan cities because of its beautiful sculptural art and important architecture in the middle of the green jungle. The most important historical find of this culture was in the Temple of Inscriptions where he found the tomb of King Pakal a carved gravestone. It is also essential to know the Temple of the Foliated Cross, the Sun Temple and Palace.At the end check in at the hotel in Palenque.. Accommodation DAY 9 PALENQUE - VILLAHERMOSA / MÉRIDA Breakfast.
