From 16 th to 21 st September 2018 we will meet in Pesaro again for a fantastic week of friendship, fun, fitness, culture and Gymnastics! The beautiful city of Pesaro is ready to welcome you for an amazing European Gymnastics Festival! On the Adriatic coast, Pesaro is a perfect location for summer holidays and for the 5 th GOLDEN AGE GYM FESTIVAL! #moveyourheart Dear GAGF 2018 athletes, when 2 years ago we put the bid, through the Italian Gymnastics Federation, to organise the Golden Age Gym Festival 2018, we were not completely aware of the fact that this event will be really a fantastic week of fun and leisure connecting people from all over Europe and not only. We get awareness of this issue only attending as observers the last edition in Portoroz where we experienced one never-ending week that will remain unforgettable in our mind and our heart. From this point and from these feelings we started to organise GAGF 2018 involving first of all the Italian Gymnastic Federation, Pesaro City Municipality and of course hundreds of people who will contribute for the development of 2018 edition. You will discover Pesaro as an ideal location for Golden Age: the beach, the sea, the Old Town, the Italian Food, the music and, hopefully, the climate, all factors creating a mix of good opportunities for you all. GAGF 2018 City: Pesaro The 6th Golden Age Gym Festival will take place in the warm setting of the Adriatic Sea in Pesaro from 16 to 21 September 2018. Esatour Sport Events is honoured to welcome you to our beautiful country. No doubt we will do our best to make your participation at this event a memorable experience. Pesaro Area: 126,77 km² Population: 94 512 Average air temperature in Pesaro in September is 20 C. Sea water temperature 18 C. #moveyourheart Pesaro is an Italian town of 94,512 inhabitants, capital with Urbino of Pesaro and Urbino province in the Marche region. It is the 2 nd largest in the Marche region, after Ancona, and 51 st in Italy. Overlooking the sea and crossed by the river Foglia, Pesaro is a seaside resort and industrial center located between two coastal hills: San Bartolo and Ardizio; its historic center is rich in monuments, especially the Renaissance period. The city has an urban area that extends beyond the municipal boundaries and encompasses several other municipalities such as Montelabbate, Vallefoglia and Mombaroccio. It is known by the nickname of City of the Bicycle, owing to its extensive network of cycle paths connecting its territory (Pesaro is the first city in Italy for number of urban trips by bike, together with Bolzano); and by that of City of Music, because this city gave birth to the famous composer Gioachino Rossini. Pesaro is currently an official candidate for Italy to "UNESCO Creative City", having as motivation of its commitment the nomination in the development, promotion and review of Rossini's music. In 2017 Pesaro received the title of European City of Sport together with the city of Aosta, Cagliari and Vicenza. In Pesaro important cultural events take place yearly, such as the Rossini Opera Festival and the International Festival of Nuovo Cinema. GAGF 2018 Info GAGF History After the test edition in 2005 and the 1st Golden Age Gym Festival 2008 in Maspalomas, Canaries (ESP), the 2nd GAGF was hosted by Portimao (POR) followed by 3rd GAGF in Montecatini (ITA) and 4th GAGF in Toulouse (FRA). The 5th edition was in Portoroz (SLO) and now it s Italia again. General Info From 15 to 22 September 2018 Pesaro will host the most important UEG Over 50 Gymnastic Festival: Golden Age Gym Festival! The UEG Golden Age Gym Festival is not only a week of recreation but offers also the possibility to all participants to improve their abilities and to discover new activities and sports. This Gym Festival and joie de vivre for the Over 50 generation has the purpose to inform the gymnasts from the 50 UEG National Federation about gymnastics benefits and let them experience the several gym related activities. The gymnasts shall have the pleasure to be involved in this unique Gym Festival where group presentations and leisure activities are planned together 10 GOLDEN AGE GYM FESTIVAL
#moveyourheart Health, fitness and well-being, as well as specific measures to maintain or recover mobility of the Over 50 generation, will be the watchword throughout the event. Of course, we will not forget about several social activities where you will be able to spend time with your group or meet other gymnasts from all over Europe. Special value of the event is also in the several touristic points available in the vicinity that can make this visit even more unforgettable. The importance of the 2018 UEG Golden Age Gym Festival is supported by the following facts: We expect to welcome more than 2000 participants on GAGF 2018, Pesaro offers a unique setting on the sea sides where everything is close by, Esatour Sport Events has already organized many successful sport events. Flash Mob LOC prepared a choreography for Flash Mob of GAGF 2018 and we will all dance it toghether on Golden Age Gym Festival 2018. LOCATION PIAZZA DEL POPOLO LOCATION PIAZZA DEL POPOLO OPENING CEREMONY The opening ceremony will take place on 16 th September in Piazza del Popolo where the Parade ends. It will be about one hour long show, starting at 17:00. Throughout the performance, we will try to do our best to welcome you in our country. GALA You will enjoy glorious Gala event at Piazza del Popolo on 20th September, from 17.30 to 19.00 pm. The theme of the Gala will be #moveyourheart. All communication concerning the Gala will be done directly with the Gala choreographer, who will be in contact with the Gala responsible person from each delegation. The performances at Gala are reserved for Nations that participate at the event with at least 3 groups. Each performance is limited to 3 minutes, including marching in and out. It s not allowed to divide the choreography in two parts. The UEG Technical Committee of Gymnastics for All can invite further groups from National Federations with exciting performance, like as a good example of how to work with senior gymnasts. For this possibility, the group selected must prepare a presentation shorter than 3 minutes. LOCATION PIAZZA DEL POPOLO CLOSING CEREMONY Final event of the festival will take place in Piazza del Popolo on Friday 21 st September from 17.30 to 19.00 pm. To take part in the Closing Ceremony, gymnasts can enrol during the week, directly with the workshops instructors or at the info point in the Village. They must choose one of the workshops in which they have participated during the week among those proposed. FORUM pesaro 2018 On this forum you will learn more about Physical literacy for senior with focus on physically, mentaly, socialy and different Gymnastics skills. How can you stay healthy with a lot and various movements? How can you still challenge yourself and learn new movements up in the elderly age? At the forum you will get some new knowleadge about this subjekt and practical tips. 13

The maximum time for each performance is 6 minutes (including preparation of the venue and marching in and out). Performances shorter than 5 minutes are warmly recommended! Groups should be composed of a minimum of 6 active performers; each group has the opportunity to perform twice during the week. The group should be ready to perform 15 minutes before their scheduled time. There will be changing rooms available at all sites. Performers should take care about props on their own. City Performances Palla di Pomodoro It was built in 1998 by the famous contemporary sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro on a polyester model that came to Pesaro in 1971. It was realized for Expo 1967 in Montreal. Only 3 models existing in the world: Pesaro, Rome and New York. Parade Let s make an amazing start of The Golden Age Gym Festival 2018 together let s all be part of The Golden Age Parade let s all take a short walk to Piazza del Popolo, where the opening ceremony will take place. It will be 700 metres of fun. Host Committee will send you the instructions of choreography for the FLASH MOB of GAGF 2018 that will take place during the opening of Parade. PESARO 2018 19
Workshops Most of the workshop will take place in GAGF Village in the heart of the festival under the shade of the trees and next to the sea. From Monday to Thursday workshops will take place in the morning, from 9:30 until 10:30 and from 11:00 until 12:00. Each participant will choose 4 to 6 workshops in the proposed list. Among those you will select, we guarantee at least 2 of them The 2 morning workshops will take place on the same venue. Partecipants will have 30 minutes between each workshop. At the workshop venues there will be guides and signs indicating where to go and where you can find your workshop. Almost all workshops will be concentrated at Rocca Costanza and beach area. Also crew members will be present at every site in case partecipants might need help. Gymnasts must arrive in suitable outfit for practice to the workshops, sport shoes for the indoor and outdoor activities and swimwear for water activities. Some workshops will have limited number of places available. GAGF VILLAGE GAGF Village will be located at Rocca Costanza. It is the ideal place to sip a cup of coffee on a sunny day in Pesaro and gather all information about the festival. Also most of the workshops will take place in GAGF Village. GAGF Village I) PHOTO CENTER Every day you will be able to see an exhibition of pictures made during the festival. A professional photographer will take pictures during the whole GAGF 2018 week. You can also contribute your own pictures by sending them to our email info@goldenage2018.com or posting them to GAGF 2018 Facebook page. Each day we will pick the best picture of the day that will receive a small award. Best pictures will be posted on our GAGf 2018 Facebook page and exhibited in the Village. In the Village we will also have a photo background and different props so you can make your pictures even more unique. II) LOST AND FOUND If you lose something, don t worry; all the things that will be found will be waiting for you at the lost and found point in the GAGF info center. III) PARTIES Enjoy every night at GAGF Village. 3 special nights will be organised at GAGF Village. a) Live 60s, 70s, 80s music, disco, because Pesaro, like New York, is the town which never sleeps. b) One night will be dedicated to National Federation presentation. What to do for GAGF 2018 Registration Registration process will be done online only, through a special GAGF application that will be available at www.goldenage2018.com. Each National Federation will receive their own login credentials to access online application. GAGF 2018 Pesaro Card Participants registered for accommodation packages through HC will receive the GAGF 2018 Pesaro Card. This card provides for the following benefits: Free access to public transports in Pesaro, Free entrance to Pesaro museums, Lower rate for the transport to and from the airport/train station of Ancona (AOI) and Bologna (BLQ), 10 discount coupon on all official GAGF 2018 merchandise, Coupon for one complimentary official GAGF 2018 T-shirt. All reservation can be processed through online application on NESEA SportCARE Digital Platform (http://gagf2018hotel.sportcare.tech), technical partner of the event, and each Federation, with its login credentials, will be able to upload all requested data. Each National Federation will receive an email including all information and instruction about the use of the platform. As the number of rooms is limited, the Host Committee suggests to place the application as soon as possible. Your reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of the payment. The principle of first-come, firstserved applies. Above mentioned prices are guaranteed for participants that apply until the registration deadline and make reservation through LOC. Registrations after the deadline or directly to the hotels outside our offers have no price guarantee. Booking after 31 May will be affected by a surcharge of 10%. Transfers Transfers will be provided from Ancona (AOI) and Bologna (BLQ) airports. Transfers to and from airports above will be secured by the HC for a special price to all participants registered for accommodation packages through HC.
