Karen will get in touch with the committee for further planning. Trail Passes and your AWSC Member Number Please keep your member number handy from year to year. As long as you do not join another club your member number will always remain the same. Passes can also be obtained on your own at www.awsc.org. Club membership dues has now increased from $30.00 to $40.00 as of December 1 st. Communication If you have changes to your address, phone, email etc., please let Vickie Kusch know to keep your AWSC membership info, club roster and distribution list up-to-date. A newsletter is sent out every month during the meeting season and one over the summer. Meeting Minutes: Minutes - Kettle Moraine Riders Snowmobile Club Tuesday, December 5, 2017 Sideliners Pub Genesee, WI Meeting called to order at 7:07 p.m. by President Craig Keys. Attendance: 35 Secretary's report: The November Minutes were in the newsletter. Steve Shaffer motioned to accept, Karen Johnson seconded. Motion to accept made by Dan Turkoske, seconded by Dave Dill. Motion carried. Board Meeting: Craig informed the group that we will be having our monthly meetings at Sideliners.
They are not charging us for the use of the room. County Meeting: Craig and Dan went to the meeting last month. All paperwork has been submitted for our non-funded trails with the hope they will become funded. The new maps will hopefully be available at the Christmas party meeting, which will be at the Okauchee American Legion at 6:30 on December 13. All are welcome to attend. Steve Shaffer made a motion to purchase a $50 basket to donate, seconded by Jim Kilpatrick. All in favor. The scholarship donation check in the amount of $100 will be given to Craig to take to the meeting. Craig has raffle tickets to purchase or sell if anyone is interested. Charities: We received a letter from the Mukwonago Food Pantry asking for donations. A check for $200 was given to Craig to drop off with the donated food brought to the meeting. The Lions Club is sending items to the troops, and we received a letter asking for help with donations or cash to cover shipping charges. In the past we've donated $100 to help with postage. Jim Kilpatrick motioned to donate $100, Karen Keys seconded. Motion carried. Chili Bash: Karen Keys explained the alternate plans to the traditional chili bash. The website has been updated with meeting changes and board members, event dates, etc. Trailmaster: The group gave Dan a round of applause for the work involved in getting the forest brushed. As far as our trails, everything has been cut. Dave Kalusche helped set up fences in the area that was not finished during trail set up. A branch fell across the bridge and broke one of the side rails. It has been repaired. There was a great turnout of 15 for the forest brushing. They covered a large area, removed a lot of stumps, trees, and brush. Another brushing is set for this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Meet at ZZ parking lot. The wrecking crew (Kilpatrick family) will be going out at 10:00 a.m. Sunday to do the area from Horseriders Park to Bluff Road. Meet at Horseriders Park. It is Walworth County, but has been unofficially adopted by Waukesha County. The club gets reimbursed for their time and labor. Wear blaze orange if you are helping. Dan will email the group as a reminder and to get a head count. Steve Piraino asked whether trails can be open if conditions warrant, and Dan indicated that as of December 1, they can be open. He reminded everyone to use the trail hotline to determine whether trails are open. The numbers are on the website for the various counties. Dave and Carol Schroeder went to the NP Protective Service Committee meeting regarding extending the trail to Hwy E. The village board meets next Thursday. We want to extend our trail from 59 towards North Prairie towards the railroad tracks to Hwy. E. All property owners have given permission. We are just waiting for the Board.
50/50 raffle: Vickie walked around selling raffle tickets. Go-Kart event: Steve Shaffer is planning another outing for the group on Saturday, December 9. This will be three general races for $45 starting at 7:00 p.m. Dinner and drinks to follow. Club Trip: Five rooms are being held until the end of the week as a gesture of goodwill for the club trip January 18-21 st. Karen and Craig will host a bonfire and pizza night again. Village of Eagle: Lyne Neuberg thanked us for contributing to the playground equipment. She is a village trustee, as well as a member of our club. Winner of $72.50 in the 50/50 raffle - Dave and Chris Kalusche. Motion to adjourn by Karen Johnson, seconded by John Johnson.
