Ordinance No. 11-1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER OF THE NORTH LIBERTY CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING SECTION.7 VOTING PRECINCTS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH LIBERTY, IOWA: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. That Section.7, Voting Precincts, of Chapter of the North Liberty Code of Ordinances are and the same is hereby repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof:.7 VOTING PRECINCTS. The boundaries of the voting precincts in the City are as follows: Precinct 1: Beginning at the intersection of Penn Street and Jones BoulevardHighway 95 and Zeller Street, then east on Penn Street to the intersection of Highway 95, then south on Highway 95 to Zeller Street, then east on Zeller Street to George Street, then north on George Street to Cherry Street, then west on Cherry Street to Stewart Street, then north on Stewart Street to Penn Street, then north on Dubuque Street to Highway 95, then north on Highway 95 to Scales Bend Road; then north on Scales Bend Road to the north boundary of the city, then westerly following the north boundary of the city, then southerly along the west boundary of the city to 3 th Street, then west on 3 th Street to the west boundary of the city, then south, west, and south along the north and west boundaries boundary to the north right-of-way of th Street, then east 1 feet along said right-of-way; then south to the centerline of th Street, then east along said centerline to the intersection with Jones Boulevard; then south along the North Liberty corporate limits to Penn Street, then east on Penn Street to the intersection of Highway 95, then south on Highway 95 to the east line of Section 11, Township 8 N, Range 7 W, then south along the section line to the point of the beginning. SECTION. REPEALER. All Ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY. If any section, provision or part of this Ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. Ordinance No. 11-1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER OF THE NORTH LIBERTY CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING SECTION.7 VOTING PRECINCTS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH LIBERTY, IOWA: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. That Section.7, Voting Precincts, of Chapter of the North Liberty Code of Ordinances is hereby repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof:.7 VOTING PRECINCTS. The boundaries of the voting precincts in the City are as follows: Precinct 1: Beginning at the intersection of Highway 95 and Zeller Street, then east on Zeller Street to George Street, then north on George Street to Cherry Street, then west on Cherry Street to Stewart Street, then north on Stewart Street to Penn Street, then north on Dubuque Street to Highway 95, then north on Highway 95 to Scales Bend Road; then north on Scales Bend Road to the north boundary of the city, then westerly following the north boundary of the city, then southerly along the west boundary of the city to 3 th Street, then west on 3 th Street to the west boundary of the city, then south, west, and south along the west boundary to the north right-ofway of th Street, then east 1 feet along said right-of-way; then south to the centerline of th Street; then east along said centerline to the intersection with Jones Boulevard; then south along the North Liberty corporate limits to Penn Street, then east on Penn Street to the intersection of Highway 95, then south on Highway 95 to the point of beginning. Precinct : Beginning at the intersection of Penn Street, Stewart Street, and Dubuque Street, then east on Penn Street to Dubuque Street, then southeast on the centerline of Dubuque Street to the city boundary, then southwesterly along the city boundary to the west right-of-way of Dubuque Street, then southeasterly, west, south and west along the city boundary line to Front Street, then south on Front Street to the southeast corner of Section 13, Township 8 N, Range 7 W, then west from Front Street on the south line of Section 13 to its intersection with the centerline of Sadler Drive, then northwesterly to the south end of Rachael Street, then northerly on Rachael Street to Muddy Creek, then north along Muddy Creek to the centerline of the CRANDIC Railroad, then north along said centerline of the CRANDIC Railroad to Zeller Street, then east on Zeller Street to George Street, then north on George Street to Cherry Street, then west on Cherry Street to Stewart Street, then north on Stewart Street to the point of the beginning. Precinct 3: Beginning at the intersection of Penn Street, Stewart Street, and Dubuque Street, then east on Penn Street to Dubuque Street, then southeast on the centerline of Dubuque Street to the city boundary, then following the city boundary to the east, then northerly and westerly along the city boundary to Scales Bend Road, then south on Scales Bend Road to Highway 95, then south on Highway 95 to Dubuque Street, then south on Dubuque Street to the point of the beginning, including the portion of Penn Township lying within this boundary. Precinct : Beginning at the intersection of Zeller Street and Highway 95, then east on Zeller Street to the centerline of the CRANDIC Railroad, then south along said centerline of the CRANDIC Railroad to Muddy Creek, then south along Muddy Creek to Rachael Street, then southerly along Rachael Street and Rachael Street extended to the south line of Section 13, Township 8 N, Range 7 W and the intersection with the centerline of Sadler Drive, then east along the section line to the southeast corner of said section, then following the city boundary, east, south, east, south and west to Highway 95, then north on Highway 95 to the point of the beginning. Precinct 5: Beginning at the intersection of Jones Boulevard and Penn Street, then east along Penn Street to Highway 95, then south on Highway 95 to Fairview Lane, then west on Fairview Lane to Jones Boulevard, then north on Jones Boulevard to the point of the beginning. Precinct : Beginning at the intersection of Jones Boulevard and Penn Street, then south along Jones Boulevard to Fairview Lane, then east on Fairview Lane to Highway 95, then south on Highway 95 to the southern city boundary, then westerly, northerly, and easterly following the city boundaries around the south; then northerly following the west and north city boundaries to the point of the beginning, including the portion of the North Liberty corporate limits lying west of Interstate 38. SECTION. REPEALER. All Ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY. If any section, provision or part of this Ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION. WHEN EFFECTIVE. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law. First reading. Second reading. Third and final reading.
