Navigate by dugout canoe across this mirrorlike oxbow lake that is home to the endangered giant river otter (Pteronura brasiliensis), blue and yellow macaw (Ara ararauna), red howler monkey (Alouatta seniculus), black caiman (Melanosuchus niger), and one of the world's biggest fresh water scaled fish, the paiche (Arapaima gigas). Back to the lodge for lunch, and later enjoy the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway & Anaconda Walk. Take a 20-minute ride by outboard motorized canoe to the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway Interpretation Center where guests will learn about its construction and the conservation projects of ITA-Inkaterra Asociacion (NGO). Ascend one of the two 98-foot towers (30 m.) and cross the 7 hanging bridges that connect the treetops at 91 ft. high (28 m). Arrive at the Butterfly House where guests may wait for the flight back home or to the next destination, while visiting this beautiful Butterfly House and learning about the fascinating transformation of these colorful insects. Domestic Flight from Puerto Maldonadoto Cusco Reception at airport and transfer to your hotel. The elevation in Cusco is approximately 3400 meters (11200 feet), so we highly recommend resting as soon as you arrive for a few hours, and avoiding alcohol, caffeine or heavy meals. Please consult with your physician for additional details. Note: Check in to the hotel is at 3 pm. Early check in may be available directly at the hotel subject to availability. You may store your luggage at the hotel until you are able to check in. Afternoon of Leisure in Cusco This afternoon is at your leisure to acclimate. Cusco's elevation is approximately 3,400 meters (11,200 feet), so we highly recommend resting as soon as you arrive for a few hours and taking in some coca tea. If you are feeling up to it later, Cusco is a great walking city with sidewalk cafes, street art and local shops to explore! We highly recommend the chocolate factory and shop.

Day 7 Monday September 18, 2017 Cusco Meals: B Half Day Group City and Local Ruins Tour In the afternoon take a shared tour that begins at the Koricancha Temple, an old Incan palace and main center for the worship of the sun god, Inti. Once the Spanish conquered Peru, the Dominican order built a lovely church over top this temple's foundations. Your next destination is the Main Square, upon which sits the Cathedral, the beautiful Church of La Compania de Jesus (Society of Christ), and other Colonial period buildings. The adventure continues to the San Cristobal Church, located on top of a hill overlooking the city. What a view you will get! Afterwards, it's off to the Sacsayhuaman Fortress built of enormous stone blocks expertly shaped by the Incas. It is strategically located, also at the top of a hill that affords you an incredible panorama of the city. You will finish the tour visiting two other important archeological sites: Qenko and Puca-Pucara.

Day 8 Tuesday September 19, 2017 Cusco - Machu Picchu Meals: B,L At the appropriate time, you will be met at your hotel and transferred to the train station. There is a luggage restriction of one small bag (5kg / 11lb) per person on the train to Machu Picchu. We recommend you store your luggage in your hotel in Cusco and only carry the items you will need for your visit to Machu Picchu. Vistadome Train to Machu Picchu With Private Guided Tour of the Ruins The train will take you through the Sacred Valley of the Incas up to the town of Aguas Calientes. From here, you will board a bus to Machu Picchu and then have a private guided tour of the ruins. Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas, was a flourishing ceremonial and agricultural site, probably the gateway to the jungle marshes of the Inca Empire. The central buildings were erected with the polished stone works of the Cusco Imperial style, though the site was probably occupied well before the Incas started their expansion. It was associated with the earth cult revolving around the coca leaf, which was a privilege of the Inca royal family and priests. Enjoy lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge, at the entrance of the ruins, before returning to your hotel at your leisure. In the evening, enjoy a wonderful dinner at the hotel or in the town of Aguas Calientes. Check-in at the hotel is at 1:00PM. Early check-in may be available directly at the hotel subject to availability. You may store your luggage at the hotel until the time that you are able to check into your room.

Day 9 Wednesday September 20, 2017 Cusco Meals: B Day of Leisure at Machu Picchu with Vistadome Train Enjoy today at your leisure. You may choose to return to Machu Picchu, hike Huayna Picchu or relax in the village of Aguas Calientes and its hot springs. In the afternoon, we will board the train to return to Cusco. Note: Entrance tickets to Machu Picchu on this day are not included. Please contact your Yampu travel consultant if you think you would like to go back to the ruins or hike the Huayna Picchu at time of booking (subject to availability). Check-out at the hotel is at 11:00AM. Late check-out may be available directly at the hotel subject to availability. You may store your luggage at the hotel until the time that you are ready to leave for the train station. Reception at train station and transfer to your hotel.

Day 10 Thursday September 21, 2017 Cusco - Puno (Lake Titicaca) Meals: B,L At the appropriate time, you will be met at your hotel and transferred to the bus station. Transfer to the bus station to take the bus to Puno along with a bilingual guide who will show you the sights along the way. Guided Tours to Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, La Raya and Pukara Museum (Archeological Centers) and a Buffet Lunch in Sicuani Village. You will live a different experience very close to Inca's customs because people who live in these places still have the same way Incas used to live. There are beautiful landscapes and of course ask your guide any questions you may have. Onboard Services available: mineral water, coca tea, coffee, soda, oxygen, heating, bathroom, music and TV video. Pukara: This is the most important and oldest ceremonial site this side of Tiahuanaco. Characterized by a series of staired platforms, the ruins also reveal some lit sculptures and tombstones, all witnesses of a pre-inca civilization, possibly one at the origin of the Andean culture of the Altiplano. La Raya: The highest pass on the route between Puno and Cusco, La Raya is 4335m above sea level. Beautiful landscapes await you, as well as the animals that are symbolic of the Andes: llamas, alpacas and vicunas. This is a region situated between two cultures, Quechua and Aymara, as well as a composite of two terrains: the dry and arid Altiplano and the more verdant Quechua valleys and rivers. Raqchi: (or the Temple of the God Wiracocha) This Inca temple is monumental:100m in length, 26m in width and 14m in height. Divided in two naves, each of these still retains the base of eleven giant columns. The base of the walls consists of Imperial Inca stonework with a top section of adobe. Adjacent to the temple, we can see many storehouses, used for various purposes: military and religious. Andahuaylillas: Referred to as the Andean Sistine Chapel because of its magnificent frescoes, the church is but one example of the Mestizo Baroque architecture typical of the Cusco School which was prominent in the 17th century. You will marvel at the ceiling of carved panels covered with gold leaf. Please note that there is a luggage restriction of 23 kilos or 50 pounds. Passengers may also carry 1 piece of hand luggage. If you anticipate your

luggage will be heavier than this, please let your travel consultant know so that we can inform our local office and arrange additional luggage. Upon arrival in Puno you will be greeted by a Yampu representative for train reception for a private transfer to your hotel for check in. Spend the evening at your leisure. The elevation in Puno is approximately 3830 meters (12600 feet ), so we highly recommend resting as soon as you arrive for a few hours, and avoiding alcohol, caffeine or heavy meals. Please consult with your physician for additional details. Day 11 Friday September 22, 2017 Puno (Lake Titicaca) Meals: B,L Full Day Group Tour of Taquile and Uros, including Lunch Full day group tour of Lake Titicaca. This morning you will transfer to the port to take a boat ride over beautiful Lake Titicaca. Your first visit this morning will be to the famous floating islands of Uros, home of the Uros Tribe a civilization dating before the Incas. The islands are composed entirely of reed, including the houses and boats. As you explore these fascinating islands you will be able to interact with the friendly locals and enjoy opportunity to purchase their handicrafts, ride in their boats, and see into their daily lives. Leaving Uros your scenic ride will continue to the island of Taquile. This island is known for its pre-inca and Inca ruins, as well as its Inca terraces. The people of Taquile are popular for their high quality textiles, arguably the best in Peru. The knitting on the island of Taquile is reserved exclusively for the males, while the women make the yarn and weave. After your visit to Taquile you will return to Puno and transfer to your hotel. Lunch (included) is served on the lake..

Day 12 Saturday September 23, 2017 Puno (Lake Titicaca) - Lima Meals: B You will be met at your hotel by a Yampu representative and transferred to the airport. A transportation service will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Sillustani, where a guide will be waiting for you. In Sillustani, a peninsula of the Umayo Lagoon, you will visit one the world's largest necropolis, in which stand out over 90 chullpas, huge and primitive stone mausoleums of over 12m high, designed with a wider top than the base. Required Travel Documents & Inoculations Entry & Exit Requirements Peru A valid passport is required to travel and should have at least 6 months validity after your return home. You should have at least 2 blank pages per country that you are visiting. If your passport does not meet this requirement at the time of departure, you can be denied boarding for your international flight and may consequently incur additional expenses. According to the information that we have, you should NOT need a visa to enter Peru as a tourist with a US passport. However, we always recommend that you double check this for last minute changes with your local consulate. Please note that the passport you have provided on the booking form must be the one that you will be traveling with and presenting to the Peruvian authorities to enter the Machu Picchu ruins. Please let us know if you will be receiving a renewed passport before your trip, and send us a copy of the new one as soon as you receive it. You must bring both the old and new passports on the trip. Failure to do so may result in you being denied entry to the ruins. Note that every time you check into a hotel in Peru you will be asked to present your passport and also a copy of your Andean Migration Card which is the card that you will in when you arrive in Peru. Losing the card may mean that the hotel will require for you to pay the 18% VAT (IGV) which you were exempted from paying. Value Added Tax (IGV) Exemption: All non-resident foreign tourists in Peru who remain in the country less than 60 days (not to exceed 90 days in a calendar year) are exempt from paying the IGV, which is only for residents of Peru. Yampu did not include the 18% tax in our quoted rates. Please note that when checking in at each hotel, you can expect to present your passport and the Andean Migration Card (TAM) stamped with your date of entrance into Peru. If your stay in Peru has exceeded 60 days, you will be counted as a resident and you will not be exempt from the IGV. In this case, you will be required to pay this tax for all hotels and services booked. Please let your Yampu Consultant know immediately if you or a member of your party may be ineligible for this exemption so that we may make the appropriate payment arrangements in advance.

Health & Wellness Peru During your tour you will be visiting high altitude areas. Travelers with medical conditions, such as heart disease, lung disease, high blood pressure, sickle cell disease, or women who may be pregnant, should be advised to consult a physician familiar with high-altitude medical issues before traveling to high altitude areas. According to the CDC, Peru has a very low risk of Malaria. Nonetheless, you should be aware and consult your physician for any pre-travel recommendations. Areas where malaria has been found include: all departments below (2,000 m / 6,562 ft) including cities of Iquitos and Puerto Maldonado. No malaria has been found in Lima province and coast south of Lima, and none in the cities of Ica and Nazca. None in the highland tourist areas (Cuzco, Machu Picchu, and Lake Titicaca) and southern cities of Arequipa, Moquegua, Puno, and Tacna. Huayna Picchu is a climb up a tiny Inca trail behind Machu Picchu, 1300 feet up. There are stairs you have to climb and it is quite strenuous. There is also a small tunnel which you must crawl through. The view at the top is magnificent! The time choices are 7am and 10am. Please note as 200 people are allowed on each entrance, there will be a line. We strongly suggest choosing the guided tour option as this trail is very technical.

"In a nut shell I would go anywhere with Yampu in a heartbeat. We used them for Peru in 2005; Ecuador, Peru and Chile in 2011 and Vietnam & Cambodia in 2013. They were flawless in all cases. Never missed an airport pick up or a connection, the hotels and meals were fabulous, we were upgraded (by them) wherever possible and they seemed to be one step ahead of us everywhere we went." "We wanted to cover 6 countries in one month so it would have been a nightmare if we had to plan it ourselves from Asia. Our Travel Consultant from Yampu put together a great itinerary and gave great advice. She was also extremely patient when we wanted to change things around. All the planning happened over email - super efficient. We were very pleased with the accommodation choices, activities planned and the quality of the local tour guides." We invite you to read more of our client testimonials here Many of our highest praises come from client's who actually had a problem while traveling. For example, one of our clients was in Patagonia when a strike broke out on the road back to Punta Arenas. The airport was shut down for a week. Our client was able to reach us on our emergency number at midnight and by the time he woke up in the morning, we had him rerouted a different way, added new exciting tours to his itinerary, and he was able to continue his trip, no interruptions or stress. On the other hand the guest who had booked with a big online company could not reach anyone and they were stuck for a week.
