COBB COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT Summer Work Hours for Central Office Employees Summer 2012 Beginning the week of Monday, June 4 and ending Friday, July 20, all 240 day monthly paid Central Office employees will participate in a four-day work week, Monday through Thursday; all offices will be closed on Friday, with the exception of Friday, July 6. Hourly (bi-weekly) 260 day employees will begin their four-day work week on Thursday, June 7 and end on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Full-time Exempt employees (40 hours/week) and Non-Exempt employees (37.5 hours/week) should adjust their work/lunch schedules accordingly so that they continue to work either 37.5 hours/week (non-exempt) or 40 hours/week (exempt) during this four-day work week period. Less than full-time employees should work with their supervisor to adjust their schedules. Offices should be open and phones answered Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. During the week of July 4, all 240 day staff will work Monday, July 2 through Friday, July 6 on their regular 7.5 or 8 hour schedules unless taking an approved vacation day. Wednesday, July 4 all District offices will be closed for the July 4 th holiday. Hourly (bi-weekly) 260 day employees will work eight (8) hour shifts for the workweeks Thursday, June 28 through Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Absences that occur during the longer work day schedule will be posted over two days for 240 day monthly employees. For example, if a 240 day monthly employee normally works 7.5 or 8 hours per day and is absent on a day that they work extended hours; that absence will be posted as one full day absent and then an additional.25 or.50 for the next day. This will allow the correct amount of time to be deducted from your leave. Summer schedule calendars are attached for your planning and convenience. Also attached please find the Summer Dress Code. Any questions regarding this summer work schedule should be directed to your immediate supervisor.
