Generalities
Generalities Through the Office of Civil Aviation and Airports : OACA A contract between the OACA and TELESPAZIO within the project was signed on November 22, 2012 by both parties.
Current Situation
Current Situation : En-Route Basic Area Navigation B-RNAV was implemented in the Tunisian airspace since December 2006 over FL155. The BRNAV is similar to RNAV5.
Current Situation : Approach. In the Tunis FIR / UIR, the use of the GPS constellation reinforced by an internal integrity service navigation system on board of ABAS, provides the framework for the use of non-precision approach procedures : RNAV - GNSS.. NOTAM GNSS are issued every 24 hrs for each tunisian A/D. It is mandatory to provide a GNSS signals recorder equipement and optional to broadcast a monitoring tool.

Actions Required : En route RNAV 5 Extension of RNAV 5 to the FL95 in the entire Tunisian airspace. Installation of two new DMEs : one in Sidi Ben Aoun, the other in El Borma.
Actions Required : terminal Zone RNAV 1 The implementation of RNAV 1 in the TMAs of Tunis and Djerba The implementation of (CBN, SFX and BAN) 3 DMEs
Actions Required : terminal Zone B-RNP 1 GNSS is the primary navigation system for Basic RNP 1 in environments where ATS surveillance is either unavailable or limited. It is necessary to meet the requirements of recording and monitoring the GNSS signals.
Actions Required : Approach RNP APCH RNP APCH has no specific requirements for communications or ATS surveillance and will be adopted for some Tunisian airports. 2D lateral aspect of navigation Infrastructure aid of navigation GNSS
Actions Required : Approach RNP AR APCH RNP AR APCH will be adopted at the airport of Tabarka Ain Draham via a specific study 2D lateral aspect of navigation Infrastructure aid of navigation GNSS
Actions Required : Approach APV BARO-VNAV The APV Baro-VNAV cover the vertical navigation aspect.
Actions Required in the project: Provision of missing data to complete the security study ; Final check and validation of all the studies and procedures developed ; Technical Training for flight procedure designers ; Flight Validation of the LPV procedures developed.
Conclusion
Conclusion: The Opportunity to transfer knowledge in design and the use of LPV procedures ; The Implementation and the publication of the LPV procedures: Ensure that EGNOS provide the best coverage of the desired Tunisian airspace ; Ensure the right monitoring of the GNSS signals (GPS + EGNOS) ; Amend the Tunisian legislation on the subject and establish the necessary agreements and contracts.
