27 APR 2018 Kilimanjaro - Arusha Start Safari: Kilimanjaro International Airport Kilimanjaro - Arusha, Tanzania (Arrival Location) Kilimanjaro - Arusha, Tanzania Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano that stands 19,000 feet high in Tanzania. It's Africa's highest mountain and an impressive sight. It forms the back drop to Amboseli National Park and the Chyulu Hills Wildlife Preserve in Kenya, and Arusha National Park in Tanzania. The surrounding area is known for some of the largest elephant tusks ever recorded. You can trek to the top of Kilimanjaro on one of two main routes, the Shira route and the Machame route. The Kilimanjaro Airport is serviced by international carriers, and it serves as a gateway to Tanzania's Northern wildlife highlights including Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti National Park. Arusha is a small safari town in close proximity to Kilimanjaro International Airport. If your international flight arrives late in the day, you can stay at some charming coffee plantations and intimate hotels and recharge before setting off on safari the next day. You re guaranteed a great cup of coffee to send you on your way. Arusha Coffee Lodge Called the 'safari capital' of Tanzania, Arusha is the gateway from which many travelers visit the country's most renowned game reserves. Arusha Coffee Lodge lies cradled in the endless acres of Tanzania s largest coffee plantation. This exclusive boutique hotel lodge has been designed around the farm s original plantation homes, radiating the warmth and invitation of the old colonial plantation homes historically distinctive to the coffee plantations. Luxurious accommodation, fine cuisine and roaring fires beckon to the most seasoned traveler. The Arusha Coffee Lodge accommodation consists of 30 plantation houses lavishly furnished, featuring a splitlevel living room area and a private deck patio. The plantation-style cottages are made of stone and wood, with the interior boasting dark wooden floors and wood and red-brick walls. At the front of each cottage is a private, wooden deck with table and chairs. Inside, each cottage boasts a log fireplace, large four-poster bed with Egyptian cotton sheets, traditional colonial overhead ceiling fans, mosquito nets, mini bar, hair dryer, safe, tea and coffee caddy. All rooms are equipped with telephones and internet adapters. The en-suite bathrooms are very spacious with simple decor. Each has a sink set into a wide wooden surface top, a bath, a flush-toilet and a shower. The walls and floor of the bathroom are tiled with grey marled tiles. Offering every guests amenity, the Arusha Coffee Lodge is the place to relax and rejuvenate before or after a Tanzanian safari. Laze around the swimming pool, enjoy sundowners at the Safari Bar, unwind after a delectable meal in the lounge with a good liquor and fireside chat. A range of activities are on offer during your stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge, although these activities are at an addition cost. Arrangements can be made to visit a local Maasai market, Museum of Natural History, Tanzanite Museum or enjoy game drives to Mt. Meru and Arusha National Park. Included Half Board Basis: accommodation, breakfast and dinnerfull board basis: accommodation, meals

Amenities Cell Phone Coverage, Ensuite Bathrooms, Hairdryer, Pool, Wi-Fi Available at an Additional Cost Meals, all drinks, laundry, curio shop items, coffee estate tour, visit to Arusha National Park, forest walks in Arusha National Park, museum of Natural History, visit to the Tanzanite Museum, visit to the Masai market, visit to the Arusha cultural center 28 APR 2018-30 APR 2018 Serengeti North Kilimanjaro - Arusha Serengeti North Scheduled Light Aircraft Transfer (1 hour, 55 minutes) Serengeti North, Tanzania Imagine immense short-grass plains that run to the horizon. Now imagine the plains filled with so many wildebeest and zebra that they run to the horizon too. This is just a glimpse of the incredible views at the Serengeti National Park. There is no other place in the world where you can get such a feeling of wild expanse. This area is famous for the Great Migration, in which millions of wildebeest and zebra travel in giant herds, and predators follow closely behind. If you d like to see one of nature s greatest phenomena, timing is everything. Every year is slightly different, since the migration is dictated by the weather. But in general, the migration is in the southern Serengeti in December through March, in the western Serengeti in June and July, and heads up to the northern Serengeti and Masai Mara in Kenya in September through November. Lamai Serengeti Lamai Serengeti sits tucked among the rocks of Kogakuria Kopje with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, just a few miles from where the wildebeest cross the Mara River. For roughly a quarter of the year, between late July and October, this is where you'll find the migration. Lamai Serengeti features 12 rooms in all. These are split between two separate lodges, the Main Lodge of 8 rooms and our smaller Private Lodge of 4 rooms. Each site has been carefully thought out, with the elements in mind, to take maximum advantage of the view, the sun, the wind and even the rain, welcome when it comes. The rooms are a clever blend of canvas, plaster and natural poles. All feature en-suite bathrooms and hot and cold running water, flush toilets, mosquito nets around the beds. It's not all about the migration. To define the Serengeti purely in terms of the wildebeest timetable is to massively underestimate the variety of this part of Africa. Throughout the year, 4x4 s can be used to explore the intricacies of the area, both south of the Mara River and (river state permitting) to the north, but we're able to offer walking safaris from here. And of course with a location like this, one of the best ways to take in the Serengeti is from the expansive verandah of your room, tucked away in among the red

rocks of the kopje. The rooms are designed to maximize the panoramic views, but also to give a window onto life on the kopje. In short, at Lamai, you can be as busy as you like with game drives and walks, or as lazy as you like enjoying the Serengeti from your room or the swimming pool. Included Accommodation, meals, all drinks (except champagne & premium wines), all activities on a shared basis including game drives and short walking safaris (seasonal), bush picnics, scheduled road transfers to/from Kogatende airstrip, laundry, park fees, VAT Amenities Cell Phone Coverage, Ensuite Bathrooms, Laundry Included, Local Drinks Included, Pool, Recharge Facilities, Wi-Fi Available at an Additional Cost Champagne & premium wines, private vehicle for activites (subject to availability), Hot Air Balloon safari 1 MAY 2018-3 MAY 2018 Selous Serengeti South Selous Scheduled Light Aircraft Transfer (4 hours, 25 minutes) Selous, Tanzania The Selous Game Reserve is wild and rugged. The Rufiji River holds one of the highest densities of hippos and crocodiles in Africa, and its sand bars and forested banks provide an ideal habitat for a wide variety of birds. Head into the wilderness to stalk zebra, wildebeest, impala, buffalo, giraffes, lions and elephants on foot. You can also cruise down the Rufiji on a boat, gliding past all the animals as they stop by for a drink. Sand Rivers Selous Covering 28,000 square miles of wilderness, with grassy plains, open woodland, mountains and forests, the Selous Game Reserve, named after the great explorer and hunter, Frederick Courtney Selous, is Africa's largest game reserve. It's about three times the size of South Africa's Kruger National Park, and twice the size of the Serengeti National Park. In a fitting tribute, it's also one of Tanzania's three World Heritage Sites. Sand Rivers has a wonderful position deep inside the Selous Game Reserve, overlooking a wide curve in the Rufiji River. It has a long-standing reputation as one of Tanzania's best camps, with luxurious accommodation, pleasant views and generally excellent guiding. Life at Sand Rivers is relaxed, with each day planned specifically for each individual guest as desired. The staff has a great love and knowledge of the game reserve and wants each guest

to experience the best the area has to offer. The lounge and dining area are situated in an open-sided thatched boma on the edge of the Rufiji River. The mix of white-washed and stone walls, carved wooden furniture, luxurious soft furnishings and African decorations, the result is a rustic yet homely and relaxed atmosphere. A curved swimming pool is located adjacent to the lounge area with panoramic views of the river and wilderness beyond. Sand Rivers also has a small curio shop which sells a variety of items. Sand Rivers Selous accommodations are comprised of eight open-fronted cottages made of stone and thatch and raised on platforms overlooking the river. All rooms have king-sized beds covered by delicately draped mosquito netting and earth tone fabrics, as well as a ceiling fan. Plug sockets are dispersed throughout the cottage for recharging batteries. En-suite bathrooms are open-fronted with white stone floors and great views provide hot and cold running water, flush toilets and powerful showers. At Sand Rivers, numerous activities are included with your accommodation. Game driving in 4x4 vehicles are a great way to cover a bit of distance to get the best views, access and photographic opportunities. Walking safaris provide a sense of spontaneity and adventure, enabling guests and guides to participate in the environment without affecting the game s movements. In contrast, boating safaris on the Rufiji River provide spectacular surprises, as the game comes to you. Available for a supplemental fee is a wonderful experience called fly-camping. For one evening of your stay depart camp after tea and head out on a gentle walk for approximately 2 hours. Time on foot is an opportunity to engage your senses and this is something you'll quickly pick up on as you leave camp - accompanied by an armed ranger. You will arrive into the rustic fly camp for sundowners where you will have dinner and spend the night. This is a peculiarly East African passion and the way things were done in the old days; with the minimum of fuss, but not scrimping on any of the comforts. Fly camping is a shared activity, must be pre-booked and cannot be added on once in camp. Included Accommodation, meals, all drinks (except Champagne & premium wines), activities on a strictly shared basis, scheduled by camp managers including game drives, bush walks, fishing & boat trips, sundowners, bush picnics, trips to the hot springs, stargazing, scheduled road transfers to/from Kiba airstrip, laundry, park fees Amenities Cell Phone Coverage, Ensuite Bathrooms, Laundry Included, Local Drinks Included, Pool, Recharge Facilities Available at an Additional Cost Available at additional cost: Champagne & premium wines, fly-camping supplements 4 MAY 2018 Dar Es Salaam Selous Dar Es Salaam Scheduled Light Aircraft Transfer (45 minutes) Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania The official capital city of Tanzania (Dodoma for you trivia buffs) is 250 miles away. But Dar es Salaam serves as the cultural and economic capital of the country. It also serves as a great stop-over point for trips farther inland. If you find yourself some extra time in the city, a trip to the national museum or an Indian Ocean beach is a great way to spend the time. Dar es Salaam is the safest city in Eastern Africa, with violent crime a rarity, even in the poorer neighborhoods.

Hyatt Regency Dar Es Salaam Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, The Kilimanjaro, is a modern oasis in the heart of the largest Tanzanian city. The five-star hotel s superb waterfront location, spectacular views of the harbor and Indian Ocean, and proximity to Dar es Salaam International Airport ensure it is among the best-situated luxury hotels in the city. Dar es Salaam is the economic and commercial hub of Tanzania and the most important port in East Africa. This luxurious five-star hotel is perhaps the finest accommodation to be found in Tanzania, featuring 180 spacious and comfortably appointed rooms and suites with authentic hospitality and deluxe amenities. Guests staying on the Regency Club level enjoy deluxe in-room amenities as well as complimentary daily continental breakfast, all-day tea and coffee, and evening cocktails. While staying at Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, The Kilimanjaro, guests can look forward to delicious dining in the hotel s two renowned restaurants: The Palm and The Oriental, where an international team of chefs offers a wide choice to meet your tastes, from European specialties and classic Swahili dishes to fresh sushi and sashimi and other Asian classics. Located off the coast of Mozambique, the Quirimbas Archipelago is a scattering of islands, 12 larger, and 20 smaller in size, dotting the azure waters of the Indian Ocean. As stunning as it is largely unknown, the archipelago is on a tentative list for UNESCO World Heritage Site status. Here you ll find all the comforts of luxury resorts, warm white sandy beaches, and world-class diving. The pristine island settings and their atmospheric lodges with attentive staff are private havens for the lucky few who stay there. Protected reefs offer some of the most spectacular snorkeling and diving in the world. Gaze at the dolphins, often spotted from boats throughout the year, track down humpback whales on their seasonal migration past the island s shores (July to November), or observe nesting turtles (November through April). Get to know your home island through birding and nature walks through baobab groves, kayaking through mangroves, or enjoying an intimate beach picnic. Alternatively, board a Mozambican sailing dhow and go island hopping with a guide, or explore by kayak. Whichever island you choose to call home, you are assured of one of the most private, stunning beach getaways imaginable, and as much or as little activity as you desire before or after your Southern African safari experience. Quilalea Private Island Resort Quilalea Island is one of the southernmost islands in the pristine Quirimbas Archipelago, 30 nautical miles North of Pemba. It has one of the only safe deepwater moorings in the area, where the Portuguese and Arab traders traditionally found sanctuary for their dhows or boats. The island is approximately 86 acres in size and, apart from Azura Quilalea staff and guests, it is completely uninhabited. The island is covered in indigenous vegetation, with statuesque age-old baobab groves and stunning flora and fauna, a real nature lover's paradise. There are just nine seafront villas on this private uninhabited island, stretched along the sunrise and sunset beaches, accommodating a maximum of eighteen guests in absolute privacy. The villas are hewn from local materials, with natural coral stone walls, carved wooden beams, makuti thatch roofs, and timber wooden decks. Windows have no glass, but have shutters made from local reed that can be opened to allow the breezes through, or closed for privacy at night. Inside, there are handcrafted oversize beds, all natural, designer beachchic furnishings, and spacious bathrooms with baobab-tiled showers. There are no telephones or ipod docks here, just a fan to cool you down, an air conditioner should you need it, a fridge full of your favorite beverages, and a wooden pirate chest to store your most precious belongings. Outside, there are daybeds and sun-loungers for relaxing, and the private decks have fabulous uninterrupted views out to the beach and sea beyond. The four Sunrise Villas have fantastic views across the multiple turquoise sea to Quirimba Island beyond. The four Sunset Villas have more exclusive locations, an extra outdoor bush shower, and hammocks for relaxing. The cliff-top Villa Quilalea offers the most astounding accommodation for a couple in the whole archipelago, with a private plunge pool, romantic four-poster bed, a bathroom and dressing room, an outdoor shower, and its own extensive lounging, dining and relaxation areas. With the Indian Ocean on its doorstep, many of the activities and experiences are focused around it. The protected reefs in the Quirimbas Archipelago offer some of the most spectacular snorkeling and diving in the world (use of snorkeling equipment is included.) Also available are saltwater or big game fishing, sunset sailing, picnics in splendid isolation, or cruises to other deserted beaches. Gaze at the dolphins, often spotted from boats, or track down humpback whales on their seasonal migration past our shores. Remote and beautiful Turtle Beach is home to dozens of nesting turtles which our guests are often lucky enough to see. It is also an excellent spot for a private picnic lunch. The birdlife is abundant on Quilalea, with more than 60 birds that can be spotted.
