Day Camp, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. But few environments are as special as camp, where kids see what they can accomplish, learn and master skills, make new friends, and feel like they belong. Every new experience at day camp is a chance for kids to stay active, address gaps in learning when school is not in session, and have fun. With the careful guidance of our trained staff, campers will learn core values that will last forever. They ll explore. They ll play. They ll grow. And they ll have an incredible amount of fun! Safe, Licensed Program Safety is our motivation at the Y. We hold our programs to the very highest standards through internal assessments and external inspections. Many of our camps voluntarily fulfill with third party requirements and regulation, including state-licensing and/or ACA accreditation. This helps further ensure a safe, healthy and worthwhile camping experience. Financial Assistance Available to Qualified Families We work hard throughout the year so everyone can be a part of the Y. Each Professional Role Model has the knowledge and training to make each moment of your camper s summer fun and enriching. Our staff believes in developing youth through nurturing the potential of every camper. Week C: Tropical Paradise June 25 29 Break out your Hawaiian shirt, get your Hula on and join us for the best luau of the summer! Make a lei, compete in the limbo contest, or just hang loose as we travel to paradise. Week D: Time Warp July 2 6 Travel back in time to the 50 s, 60 s, 70 s, 80 s and 90 s. Dress up in the styles of each decade, learn about popular games, music and trends from the past. Week E: Surf s Up July 9 13 Ride the wave of wacky water fun in our wettest week of the summer! Arm yourself with water balloons, pack your swimsuit, win a water relay, and prepare to get soaked. Week F: Camp Spirit July 16 20 We ve got spirit yes we do! No sad faces allowed this week as the crazy socks, goofy hats and other wild things come out as we show our spirit to one and all. Week G: The Great Outdoors July 23 27 Grab your net, binoculars, and compass as we head into the forest. Explore plants, animals, and bugs all while learning outdoor and camping skills. Week H: Treasure Island July 30 August 3 Arrg Matey! Can you help us find the lost treasure? This week will be spent on the high seas with your favorite Pirate friends. Don t forget your eye patches me hearties! Week I: Under the Sea August 6 10 Dive into the great unknown as we explore underwater wonders. Mermaids, shells, fish, whales and SHARKS abound as we are transported under the sea through craft projects, storytelling, skits, and friendly competitions. Week J: Choose Your Adventure August 13 17 Determine your own destiny and decide which direction to go discover new games and adventures along that way. Week K: Crazy Carnival August 20 24 Join us for a week of fun and games take your chances on the ring toss, win prizes, and see what s under the big top. Week L: The Great Camp Mystery August 27 31 Each day will bring a new surprise by finding clues, solving riddles and discover whodunit!

Summer Day Camp FARMINGTON FAMILY YMCA #BestSummerEver Day Camp at the Y provides kids with supervised activities that teach our core values, conflict resolution, leadership skills, social responsibility, and more. Campers have fun while developing friendships, building knowledge on healthy living, developing skills and even gaining a sense of independence. Camp runs in week-long themed sessions from June 18 to August 31. Camp activities run from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, and before & after care is available from 7:00-9:00 am and 4:00-6:00 pm for no extra charge. The CIT program is a work-oriented experience, which gives participants the opportunity to work under qualified counselors to begin to learn and understand the demands and responsibility of a counselor s job. Register and pay $50 a week to ensure your camper gets a great mentor experience. Sports Camps (ages 6-10) Our sports camp offers campers a fun and exciting opportunity to learn and play sports. Our trained sports staff teaches campers the rules and fundamentals of sports in an instructional and recreational environment. As part of their sports camp experience, campers enjoy swimming daily. Sports Camp Schedule WEEK E (JULY 9-13) Basketball Come experience the game that was created at the Y! Campers will enjoy a week of dribbling, shooting, and playing games as they learn the fundamentals of basketball. Plus the kids will receive a free Y basketball at camp! WEEK F (JULY 16-20) Unique and Wacky Sports Sampler This week offers campers experience in fun, unique and wacky sports. Campers will try new sports such as pickle ball, gaga, and fowling. Plus the kids will receive a free Y baseball hat at camp! WEEK G (JULY 23-27) Soccer/Indoor Volleyball Campers will have skill clinics in the morning followed by an afternoon of scrimmages. Campers must wear shin guards for soccer and knee pads for volleyball to participate. Cleats are NOT required. Plus the kids will receive a free Y soccer ball at camp! WEEK H (JULY 30 AUGUST 3) Team Sports Sampler This week offers campers experience in popular sports. Sports for this week include: baseball, floor hockey, volleyball, soccer, basketball and water sports. Plus the kids will receive a free hockey stick at camp! Before Care/After Care Farmington YMCA offers Before Care (7-9 am) & After Care (4-6 pm) for no extra charge. Campers must be picked up by 6:00 pm or a late fee will be charged. Important Registration Information A one-time registration fee of $25 per family will be applied at the time of registration. This fee is nonrefundable. A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $25 is required for each week reserved and applies toward the total camp fee. A deposit must accompany the registration. Weekly balances are due the Wednesday prior to the start of each camp week. If full payment is not received by Friday at 10am, registration for that week will be canceled and deposit lost. Drop Off and Pick Up Y Camps run from 9am-4pm daily. If you need to drop off late or pick up early, please talk with camp leadership ahead of time to ensure your child gets the maximum out of the camp experience. A photo ID is needed to sign out any camper at every pick-up. A late fee of $2 per minute will be charged for all late pick-ups. Sibling Discount & Payment Plans A 10% discount is available for each additional sibling registered after the weekly deposit. Weekly EFT billing is drafted on the Wednesday before each week of camp. Parents are welcome to make payments online. For additional payment plans or financial assistance, please come into the branch. Please see the Day Camp Parent Handbook for specifics on payment deadlines, late pick up fees, and cancellation policies. What to Pack for Camp All campers should bring two snacks, a lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, towel, and a swimsuit to camp every day. If your camper cannot attend a field trip or has to be picked up early, the YMCA may not be able to provide provisional care. It is the parent/guardians responsibility to plan in advance of this need. Additional field trips may not be substituted if a camper misses a day. Parent Initial Swimming My camper may participate in the YMCA summer swim program. I understand my camper will supervised by a licensed lifeguard at all times. NOTE: Campers will be given a swim test before each swimming session. Parent Initial Program Information I have received the YMCA Summer Day Camp Parent Handbook.
