About Father Lopez Catholic Located on a beautiful ninety-eight -acre campus in one of America s most-desired cities, the roots of FLCHS can be traced back to 1924. With a self-imposed average class size of 18-1, the private college-prep school is fully enrolled with 470 students from 33 zip codes in Central Florida, and 9 countries making up our international program. The Summer Waves Camp Series provides students of all ages an opportunity to engage in programs focusing on athle cs and the arts all while in an enjoyable summer camp se ng. We are thrilled to offer a variety of courses and camps to fill your summer with growth, enrichment, and fun! Father Lopez Catholic High School is located just off of I-95 on LPGA Boulevard in Daytona Beach. Our Summer Waves Camp Series faculty include experienced educators, professional instructors, and talented coaches who work together to provide a memorable experience for all campers. General Information REGISTRATION The Summer Wave Camp Series has online registra on and payment for all campers. Please visit our website at www.fatherlopezcamps.com to register for camps. Simply click on the camp or camps you wish to register for the le hand side of the page. You can also print this booklet and complete the last two pages and mail in with payment if that is preferable. Walkups will be accepted on the first day of camp, with a $15.00 up charge on the selected camp. CAMP FEES Camps this year will be priced between $100 and $130 depending on length and type. The course fee must be paid in full to reserve your spot in the camp. A er paying online, please fill out a medical form that is located online on the registra on page. Early registra on helps ensure placement in the camp of your choice. A minimum number of students must register for each camp. If this number is not met, you will be no fied by phone or email so that alterna ve camps can be discussed. REFUND POLICY The student will receive a full refund minus expenses incurred (T-shirt, etc.) if withdrawing from a camp two weeks prior to the start date. To withdraw from a class, please contact the Summer Camp office at (386) 255-6556, Ext. 341. Unless stated otherwise in the course descrip on, a refund, minus a 20% processing charge, will be issued for each class withdrawal a er such date. If Father Lopez drops a class or if a student is not eligible for a class, a full refund will be made of all fees collected. No processing charge will be assessed for changing from one class to another. If a student is asked to leave the camp for disciplinary reasons, no refund will be given. ATTENDANCE POLICIES/CAMP CANCELLATION Please contact the Summer Camp office at (386) 255-6556, Ext. 341 if your student will be absent. Fees are not refunded or prorated for absences. Father Lopez reserves the right to cancel any camp if there is insufficient enrollment. If the designated par cipa on minimum is listed is not met all fees will be refunded within a week of the scheduled start date. A minimum of 8 registered campers is needed for a camp to run.
General Information Cont. DRESS CODE The dress code for the Summer Wave Camp Series is casual but conserva ve. For the sports camps please wear proper athle c clothes and footwear. Uniforms are not required during the summer. Students are asked to wear closed-toe or athle c shoes, and a re must be tasteful and appropriate for the classroom and campus. WEATHER Camps will be held rain or shine. If inclement weather is approaching, all campers and staff will enter the Brown & Brown Fieldhouse for their camp ac vi es. SNACKS & FOOD It is suggested that each camper bring a water bo le as well as a small snack for break. The concession stand will be open each day at 11:00am as well. CAMP CHECK IN On the first day of your camp, you will check in at the camp headquarter desk in the foyer of the Brown & Brown Fieldhouse. There you will meet your coach and other campers for the week. Each day following, you can meet directly in the facility or room of which you camp will take place. EXTENDED DAY CARE Extended day care will be provided for those families that need a few more minutes following the end of the camp day before they can pick up their camper. At the end of the a ernoon, extended day will be located in the Innova on Center building and Brown & Brown Fieldhouse, depending on the number of campers that day. Extended day is provided for $25.00 per week per camper, and will run un l 3:00pm. A late charge of $1.00 per minute will be assessed for every minute a er 5:30pm. All campers are expected to be picked up at the end of the camp day, and if they do not have a ride they will be brought over to the extended day area and fees will be assessed.

Camp Descriptions Coach Bo Hall Green Wave Baseball Camp $115.00 Fundamentals Camp June 12th June 16th 9:00am-1:00pm Rising 3rd - 9th Grades The Green Wave Baseball Summer Camp will focus on learning and refining the fundamental skills needed to play compe ve baseball. Daily instruc on will focus on individual aspects of the game, mental approach to the game, and the understanding of team philosophies. Drill instruc on will include hi ng, throwing, pitching, fielding, base running, and proper warm-up techniques. Live game situa ons will also be simulated throughout the camp. Players should wear baseball appropriate clothing, and bring their own gloves, bats, sneakers and cleats daily. The camp will take place inside the brand new Father Lopez Baseball Complex, located behind the Brown & Brown Fieldhouse on campus. Head Coach Bo Hall will be the main instructor, as he brings a wealth of knowledge to his campers from his me playing in high school, college, and professional baseball! Coach Miller & Ridenour Green Wave Basketball Camp $130.00 Session I June 26th June 30th 9:00am 2:00pm Rising 3rd- 9th Grades A Father Lopez summer tradi on, the Green Wave Basketball Camp is back again as the longest running camp on campus! Legendary head coaches Eddie Miller (Boys Basketball) and Brad Ridenour (Girls Basketball) bring over forty years of coaching experience and exper se to their summer camps each year. Your camper will get quality instruc on stressing fundamentals, technique, philosophy, strategy, and skill development all in a fun and energe c se ng. Demonstra ons, drills, and fun games will make up a great week of hoops! Campers should come in gym clothes with sneakers and a water bo le. Get ready to get loud and get moving as our Cheer & Dance Camp is back this summer! Varsity head coaches Melanie Stoffan (Cheerleading) and Erin Hunter (Dancing Green Wave) are ready to teach future Green Wave the fundamentals of cheering, jumps, basic stun ng, and dancing! Groups will be broken up into two, and half the day your camper will spend learning the proper technique and fundamentals of Cheerleading, while the other half of the day they will be learning new rou nes and dance skills. Campers should come dressed in gym clothes and sneakers, and if you have your own poms feel free to bring them! Coach Ma Knauss Green Wave Football Camp $100.00 (Fundamental Skills Camp) June 5th June 9th 9:00am 12:00pm Rising 5th -- 9th Grades (Boys Only) The Green Wave Football Summer Camp focuses on teaching the basics and fundamentals of the game in a non-contact se ng focusing on footwork, catching skills, throwing skills, blocking, and demonstra on of proper tackling techniques. Each day will include individual instruc on from Head Coach Ma Knauss and the Green Wave Football staff along with our Varsity Football camp counselors. Campers will receive instruc on in a compe ve environment that will allow them to improve their skills and have fun! Compe ons will include: Pun ng, Passing, Kicking, Catching, Team Compe on, and Obstacle Courses. Campers need to be dressed in gym clothes with a pair of sneakers and cleats if they have them.
Coach Nick Laule a Green Wave Lacrosse Camp $100.00 Session I June 5th June 9th 1:00pm 4:00pm Rising 5th - 9th Grades Session 2 July 10th - July 14th 9:00am - 12:00pm Rising 5th - 9th Grades Come out this summer to learn one of the fastest growing sports in America with Head Coach Nick Laule a and the Green Wave staff. No experience or equipment needed, just gym clothes and sneakers (and non-metal cleats if you have them). S cks, Helmets, and everything needed will be provided for your camper. The Green Wave coaching staff and player counselors have a great me with the campers and make sure everything stays fun and energe c using games and drills to help campers gain interest in this growing sport. Green Wave Soccer Camp $100.00 Session 1 June 19th June 23rd 9:00am 12:00pm Rising 3rd 9th Grades The Green Wave Soccer Camp focuses on teaching the founda on of the world s most popular game through skill development, drills, and fun games. This is a complete soccer skills training camp, as all facets of the game will be reviewed and individual instruc- on given to each camper. This five day camp is packed with instruc on and fun soccer games helping teach game strategies as well as sportsmanship. Campers should come prepared to work out in gym clothes along with sneakers and/or cleats. Green Wave Varsity Head Coach Paul Beaudoin (Girls Soccer) will serve as the main camp instructor throughout the week. Campers need to be dressed in gym clothes with a pair of sneakers and cleats if they have them. Coach Shana Thomas Green Wave So ball Camp $115.00 Session 1 June 5th June 9th 4:00pm 7:00pm Rising 3rd 9th Grades Hit the diamond this summer to learn about all areas of fast-pitch So ball from Green Wave head coach Shana Thomas! Campers of all ages and skill levels are welcomed for this fundamental skill camp which will focus on proper throwing & hi ng techniques, game strategy and rules, and much more! Join Coach Thomas and the varsity camp councilors for a great week of So ball! Coach Dawn Moses Green Wave Volleyball Camp $100.00 Session 1 June 19th June 22nd 4:00pm 8:00pm Rising 3rd 9th Grades The Father Lopez Volleyball Camp will use individual instruc on, skill development, and game situa ons to enhance overall volleyball performance. Drill and team compe on will focus on passing, se ng, hi ng, and game strategies in a fun and ac ve environment. Skill groups will be formed to accommodate both the beginner and the more advanced player, all while working together to build a fun team atmosphere. The camp staff will include the Father Lopez coaching staff, players from former teams, and current Green Wave varsity athletes. Campers should come in gym clothes with sneakers, knee pads, and a water bo le. SCHOLASTIC & ARTS CAMPS Art Camp $115.00 Session I June 26th June 30th 9:00am 2:30pm Rising 5th 9th Grades The Green Wave art camp will focuses on combining all different types of fine arts into one fun experience. We will explore projects in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art, and maybe even exercise crea ve talents with improv games and team building ac vi es. This camp will be led by art teacher Lisa Blais. All materials will be provided. No previous experience in art necessary.
