July 2010 HABITAT FOR HUMANITY GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY The Groundbreaking Ceremony for TCA's YCEC build with Habitat for Humanity Toronto at 4572 Kingston Road, Scarborough (Morningside & Lawrence) was held on Tuesday, June 8th. Over 100 people gathered at the site, under the hot sun to celebrate the launch of Habitat's latest residential housing development. 29 townhomes will be built on this site and the TCA's YCEC is a Title Home Sponsor. All partner families had an opportunity to meet their home sponsor and present them with the official shovel for the groundbreaking. The TCA's YCEC has committed to a goal of $500,000 worth of Gift-In-Kind towards the development of this project. Toronto Construction Association's Young Construction Executives' Club (YCEC) held a summer Pub Night on June 17, 2010, at Miller Tavern in Toronto. Approximately sixty people attended with many news faces in the crowd. Everyone enjoyed lots of refreshments, plenty of food and as always great networking. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next Pub Night scheduled for Thursday November 4, 2010 at the Madison Avenue Pub.
