Systematic Approach to Quality Management in Powder Metallurgy (PM) 17-18 May 2018 Seville, Spain Registration Deadline: 11 April 2018 Introduction The Systematic Approach to Quality Management in PM seminar will mainly focus on the quality of PM Structural Parts. PM is a continually and rapidly evolving technology embracing most metallic and alloy materials, and a wide variety of shapes. PM Structural Parts are mainly produced by mixing die pressing and heating (sintering) powder alloys before possible post processing*. The main market for the iron based PM Structural Parts is the automotive industry. The seminar will focus on the processes but most of the presented approaches can be applied to other sectors. Participants will be shown PM s advantages and techniques by leading experts from both industry and academia. The seminar will focus on such aspects as, quality requirements in fast changing environments, quality systems and related standards, techniques for continuous improvements and basic metrology to name but a few. This intensive 2-day training course will be beneficial to technical and managerial personnel, as well as end users who wish to gain a more comprehensive idea of quality in the PM process.
