ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP (4,130m/13,550ft) TRIP OVERVIEW Annapurna Base Camp Trek combines some of the most spectacular mountain sceneries and provides you a fascinating insight into the modern hill life of Nepal. This unique trek along local trails, through forests, villages and terraced farmland treats you to unparalleled mountain scenery surrounded by enormous glaciers, giving you an inside experience into the Nepalese life and culture. It's good introductory route and you will closely encounter the Himalayan range within a short period of time. You'll explore the heart of the Annapurnas as you trek to the Annapurna base camp. This is the most spectacular spot for the dramatic view and lay out of the towering snow-capped peaks. Annapurna base camp trek begins in Pokhara. You walk through many villages and up to the lush green hillcountry typical of the midlands of Nepal. We ascend well-trodden trails through terraced farmland and traditional villages. As we climb through ancient oak and rhododendron forest, across sparkling streams and past waterfalls, the world of snow and ice starts to unfold above us. This combination of pretty villages and terraced fields of millet and rice, coupled by the majestic splendour of Machapuchare (6,993m), Annapurna I (8091m) and Hiunchuli (6,441m) make this an extremely rewarding trek.
