Enter the Eglinton Valley and travel through the breath taking man made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on this world famous fiord, dominated by Mitre Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls. Return to Queenstown later today. Here is a list of the most important points: 1) The printed rates include: Basic Daily Insurance and unlimited mileage. 2) Duration of Hire is calculated on a 24 hour clock, eg collection midday, return following day by midday constitutes a one day hire. 3) Insurance Excess/Liability Reduction: Basic daily insurance is included in the daily rental rate. An excess is payable in the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle. This excess amount may be reduced by purchasing an optional Liability Reduction plan (payable direct to the rental company on collection of vehicle). A credit card imprint is taken for the bond on initiation of the hire and destroyed at the termination of the hire provided the vehicle is returned in the same condition it left the depot. 4) Airport Arrivals/Departures: On arrival guests make their way directly to the rental car counter to check in and collect their vehicle. If an airport counter is not available, alternative instructions will be given in your travel documents. On departure, the vehicle is parked in the rental car allocated parking and keys returned as per instructions in your travel documents.certain city or ferry locations may charge for drop off outside of regular hours this will be advised at the time of booking confirmation (and payable directly to the rental company). 5) Age Requirements: For most categories, drivers must be 25 years of age or older. For some car categories guests aged 21-25 years are able to hire a vehicle but a surcharge will apply. Please ask your Kiwiway consultant. 6) Licence: A current valid full driver s licence must be provided in English if the driver s licence from the country of origin is not displayed in English then an official International Driver s Licence must be presented. 7) Credit Card: A credit card must be provided by the main driver, issued in that driver s name, on collection of the rental car. An imprint of the card will be taken, a hold placed on a certain amount (advised by the Rental Car Operator at the time) as security and any charges owing at the end of the hire including extras purchased or unfilled fuel tanks will be charged to that credit card. 8) Interisland Hires: Vehicles may not be taken onto the ferry. Therefore the hire will terminate in one island and start again with a new vehicle on arrival (eg Picton and Wellington ferry terminals). Guest s luggage is checked in at the ferry terminal as it would in an airport terminal and the transfer is very easy and hassle-free. 9) Additional Extras: All extras are payable by the client directly to the rental car provider on collection of the vehicle but may be pre-booked to ensure the item is reserved: a. Remote Location Fee (applicable locations will be advised at time of quoting/booking) b. One-way fee (for hires less than 3 days on most car categories) c. Baby/Booster Seats legally required for all children up to approx 7 yrs (depending on weight). d. Ski Racks/Snow Chains (in the Queenstown region snow chains must be carried by law from May to October) e.
