Follow Favoritenstraße for about two minutes walk and you ll find no. 15a Diplomatic Academy - on the right side. General remarks : Public transport is safe and very well developed in Vienna. It is the easiest way to move around from about 5:30 am to 0:30 am. Tickets are available at the stations (automatic tellers or ticket-shops) or in a "Trafik" (small shops selling tobaco and newspapers). The price for a single ticket is 1,50. For special tickets please ask at a ticket-shop in a station.
Arrival by train & bus There are two main railway & bus stations in Vienna: Wien Südbahnhof and Wien Westbahnhof. At the railway station you can use the public transfer to reach the Diplomatic Academy. Wien Südbahnhof Diplomatic Academy Leave the train station in direction Wiedner Hauptstraße and turn right into Favoritenstraße, where you ll find the underground U1 Südtiroler Platz. Take U1 direction Kagran and exit at Taubstummengasse. At U1 station Taubstummengasse take the exit Mayerhofgasse and turn rigth into Favoritenstraße. After two minutes of walking one finds Favoritenstraße no. 15a Diplomatic Academy - on the right side. Wien Westbahhof Diplomatic Academy Take the underground U3 in direction Simmering and change at the station Stephansplatz into the underground U1 in direction Reumannplatz. Leave at Taubstummengasse.and take the exit Mayerhofgasse. Turn rigth into Favoritenstraße. After two minutes of walking one finds Favoritenstraße no. 15a Diplomatic Academy - on the right side.

Vienna s ring road. Signposting to the centre is flawless and one finds easily 1 Karlsplatz (B1) near the Opera. To get to the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna follow Karlsplatz into Friedrichstraße, turn half right into 2 Operngasse. After 450 m Operngasse leads to Margaretenstraße. Turn left into 3 Paulanergasse, which ends into Favoritenstraße. Find the ❶ Diplomatic Academy at Favoritenstraße 15a on the left side. GENERAL INFORMATION: All Austrian motorways are toll roads. Tickets are available at the borders and must be produced on demand to avoid a potentially hefty fine. On the outskirts of the town, in Triester Strasse, one finds a Tourist Information Office. Speed limits: on motorways 130 kph, on highways 100 kph, in built-up areas 50 kph. The wearing of seat belts is obligatory. Traffic in the city centre is dense, and parking is very difficult. There are 90-minute -zones for limited-time parking. Parking chits are available in the so-called Trafiken (kiosks) or in petrol stations. Much better is to leave your vehicle in an underground carpark or in your hotel and to use the excellent public transport system. All vehicles must carry a first-aid kit.
